The Spurs may consider bringing over European standout Adam Hanga next season if Manu Ginobili retires this summer.
Hanga, who was originally drafted by the Spurs with the 59th overall pick in the 2011 draft, won the 2016-17 Defensive Player of the Year award in the Euroleague. He turned 28 last month.

Adam Hanga has agreed to a multi-year deal with Barcelona.
Hanga, who named the 2016-17 Defensive Player of the Year in the Euroleague, was drafted in the second round of the 2011 draft by the Spurs. There was talk that San Antonio might bring him stateside for the 2017-18 season if Manu Ginobili retired. However, Manu came back for another year, and Hanga got an offer north of $7 million from Barca. The new contract reportedly includes a $1.5 million buyout should he want to join the Spurs at some point.

Spurs second-round draft pick Adam Hanga (No. 59 overall), who currently plays in Hungary, feels that he could be brought to San Antonio within the next two seasons.
Hanga was encouraged by a recent visit with the Spurs, who told him he needs to get stronger. As the next-to-last pick in the draft, we’re not expecting to hear Hanga’s name too often in the coming years.

The Spurs took Hungarian guard Adam Hanga with the 59th pick in the draft.
Manu Ginobili was a very late draft pick for the Spurs and all reports are that Hanga has skills. However, we’d be shocked if he played in the NBA next year.
