Ayo Dosunmu (calf), Mike Conley (rest) and Bones Hyland (hip) are out for Sunday’s game against the Pelicans.
While Dosunmu and Conley played rotation minutes in Friday’s win over the Rockets, Hyland was unavailable due to a hip injury. All three will sit out Sunday’s regular-season finale, which opens things up for Terrence Shannon Jr. Given how well he played against the Rockets, it would be unsurprising if Shannon had a big Sunday against New Orleans.

Bones Hyland (hip) is out for Friday’s matchup with the Rockets.
Hyland’s absence should mean more run for Ayo Dosunmu, especially if Anthony Edwards is ruled out again.
  • MIN Guard #8
Bones Hyland (hip) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Rockets.
Hyland played 23 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Magic. He’s likely to take on a similar role on Friday if available. How high a ceiling he’ll have in active fantasy leagues depends on the statuses of Anthony Edwards and Ayo Dosunmu, who are also questionable.

Ayo Dosunmu (calf) and Mike Conley (rest) are out for Wednesday’s matchup with the Magic.
The Timberwolves are waiving the white flag against Orlando, and most of the regular starters are expected to be sidelined. Bones Hyland should see a major bump in usage and playing time tonight with both Dosunmu and Conley out of action.
  • MIN Guard #8
Bones Hyland accumulated 19 points (5-of-10 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), four rebounds, seven assists, one steal and four three-pointers in Tuesday’s win over the Pacers.
Hyland continues to offer solid offensive production off the bench as the Timberwolves continue to play without Anthony Edwards. Over his last three games, the 6-foot-2 guard has totaled 58 points. In addition to his 19 points, Hyland dished out a team-high seven assists in Tuesday’s victory. With the Timberwolves having three more games in Week 24, Bones is worth adding in active fantasy leagues.
  • MIN Guard #5
Anthony Edwards (knee) has been ruled out against the Pacers on Tuesday.
Edwards will remain out for a second straight game, which means Mike Conley should get another start in his place. However, Bones Hyland played a larger role off the bench and was far more productive than Conley was. Hyland should be the preferred streaming option.
  • MIN Guard #10
Mike Conley, Ayo Dosunmu, Donte DiVincenzo, Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert will start Sunday’s game against the Hornets.
The Timberwolves won’t have Anthony Edwards (knee) for Sunday’s game, so Conley returns to the starting lineup. However, Bones Hyland offers a higher fantasy ceiling with Edwards unavailable.
  • MIN Guard #5
Anthony Edwards (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Hornets.
Edwards has now missed eight of Minnesota’s last ten games, which is a major concern for the Timberwolves heading into the postseason. Mike Conley is the likely replacement in the starting lineup, but Bones Hyland offers a higher streaming ceiling when Edwards sits.
  • MIN Guard #5
Anthony Edwards (knee) is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Hornets.
Edwards struggled in Friday’s loss to the 76ers, shooting 3-of-15 from the field. If he’s unable to play, Mike Conley would start, but this does more for the fantasy values of Ayo Dosunmu and Bones Hyland.
  • MIN Guard #8
Bones Hyland accounted for 21 points (7-of-14 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), five rebounds, three assists, two steals and five three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the 76ers.
In the four games he played after scoring 23 points in a March 22 win over the Celtics, Hyland totaled 32 points on 13-of-43 shooting from the field. Even though it occurred in a loss, Bones needed a night like Friday to get untracked. With Anthony Edwards still banged up and Jaden McDaniels (knee) week-to-week, Hyland’s offensive contributions have added importance as the Timberwolves fight for seeding in the Western Conference standings.
