We suppose this means his career is over. Davis averaged 8.2 points in 685 career games. He was never a full-time starter, but he did play enough in 1999-2000 to lead the league in three-point field-goal percentage. For his career, he shot 44 percent from beyond the arc.

The Nets are concerned about the health of Lucious Harris. If Davis is brought on board after he clears waivers, Robert Pack could be released.
