Jeremy Tyler scored a career-high 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting with five rebounds and no steals or blocks in 20 minutes on Friday against the Jazz.
Andris Biedrins played 27 minutes off the bench and had zero points, seven rebounds, and one block, and we’ll let you take a wild guess at which guy is cheaper. Tyler is still only worth watching by the desperate deep leaguers in the group.
  • ORL Center #40
Mickaell Gladness started at center for the Warriors on Wednesday and had eight points, five rebounds, a steal and block in 23 minutes.
Andrew Bynum (31 points) and Pau Gasol (triple-double) had their way with Gladness and Jeremy Tyler (15 points, six rebounds, a steal and block) manning the paint for the Warriors tonight. Gladness is a stretch for fantasy value, but Tyler might be worth a look in deeper leagues.
  • UTA Center #11
Updating a previous item, Andris Biedrins (groin) has been ruled out for Wednesday against the Hornets.
David Lee is expected to start at center with Dominic McGuire seeing time as well, and we could even see some of Jeremy Tyler without Biedrins int he lineup. Lee is the biggest beneficiary from a fantasy standpoint as he’ll play all the minutes he can handle.
  • HOU Center #50
Jeremy Tyler will start at center for the Warriors on Wednesday, as Andris Biedrins will be out with a groin injury.
There was speculation that David Lee would start, as Tyler has rarely played this season, but Tyler will be thrown into the fire on the same day the Blazers pimped the Warriors by snagging J.J. Hickson off waivers. Just keep an eye on Tyler if you’re in a very deep league.
  • HOU Center #50
Jeremy Tyler made another start at center and had nine points, 11 rebounds, two steals and a block in 30 minutes on Tuesday, despite Andris Biedrins playing 18 minutes and finishing with two points and five rebounds.
Tyler has played well in a couple games recently, but is still too inconsistent to be relied upon in most fantasy leagues - especially with the Biedrins working his way back from a groin injury.
  • GSW Power Forward #10
David Lee underwent an MRI Friday morning that revealed a strained groin and a stress reaction, and he will not play on Saturday against the Clippers.
Apparently Lee has been dealing with the issue for weeks. Following the MRI, he was told by team doctors that he should not play until he is fully healed, or risk causing further substantial injury. This doesn’t sound like a day-to-day injury and this late in the season it’s definitely a shutdown risk. The Warriors don’t have any real replacement for Lee, but Jeremy Tyler, Dominic McGuire, and Mickell Gladness are the next guys up, with Tyler and McGuire being the guys to look at in fantasy leagues.
  • ORL Center #40
Mark Jackson is “toying with the idea” of moving Jeremy Tyler to power forward and playing Mickell Gladness at center while David Lee (groin) is sidelined.
The Warriors are already starting three rookies, and with operation tank city in full effect, why not make it four? Lee will be out indefinitely with his groin issue, and Golden State might as well get a look at Gladness to see what he’s capable of doing. Gladness has played just four games in April, but it is reasonable to believe he should see time down the stretch. Regardless, he’s not on the fantasy radar.

Jeremy Tyler had 13 points, eight rebounds and zero blocks on Tuesday, but hit just 5-of-17 shots in the loss to the Hornets.
Maybe he was tanking, but had he hit some shots and blocked a couple, he would have had a monster line. He’s an intriguing fantasy play against the Spurs on Thursday.
  • HOU Center #50
Jeremy Tyler started at center for the Warriors on Wednesday and had four points, four rebounds and two blocks in the win.
David Lee had 25 points and 11 boards, and spent much of his time at center tonight, but Tyler could make some more starts as long as Andris Biedrins is out with a groin injury. Unless you’re in a very deep league, do nothing more than keep an eye on Tyler going forward.
  • GSW Power Forward #10
David Lee had 25 points and 11 rebounds on 9-of-19 shooting in Wednesday’s win over the Hornets.
Lee spent some time at center tonight, as Andris Biedrins was out with a groin injury, and little used Jeremy Tyler started at center. He’s been hot all season, especially over his last five games, when he’s averaging 22 points, nine rebounds and just under a steal per game. It’s just too bad he’s not a shot blocker.
