Karl-Anthony Towns recorded a double-double on Tuesday with 21 points (8-of-17 FGs), 14 rebounds, one assist and two three-pointers against the Pelicans.
Towns didn’t see his usual minutes, but he was still productive during his time on the floor. Mitchell Robinson was playing well, but the Knicks also rolled out a smaller lineup to close the game, largely to try to slow down Jeremiah Fears. Towns shouldn’t be this limited often, but he was still able to turn in a strong line. He should be back to playing his usual minutes in Charlotte on Thursday.

Karl-Anthony Towns finished Sunday’s win over the Wizards with 26 points (9-of-13 FGs, 7-of-7 FTs), 16 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one three-pointer.
After a disappointing performance in Friday’s win over the Nets, with Towns being one of the few positives, the Knicks were far more focused on Sunday. And KAT had another good night, finishing with his second straight game of at least 25 points and 15 rebounds. Since the All-Star break, Towns has provided first-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats. The Knicks play three games in Week 22, starting with the Hornets on Tuesday.

Karl-Anthony Towns finished Friday’s win over the Nets with 26 points (7-of-16 FGs, 11-of-13 FTs), 15 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one three-pointer.
Questionable for Friday’s game for personal reasons, Towns was the biggest reason why the Knicks avoided what would have been an embarrassing defeat. Six of his game-high 15 rebounds came on the offensive glass, and KAT also led all players in points. With the Knicks hosting the Wizards on Sunday, that’s another game in which Towns may showcase, especially with Washington also playing on Saturday.

Karl-Anthony Towns (personal) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Nets.
Towns was left off the initial injury report, but popped up as questionable for personal reasons Friday morning. The 30-year-old center’s status for the game against the Nets is up in the air. Mitchell Robinson would start with Ariel Hukporti as the backup center if Towns is ruled out.

Karl-Anthony Towns had 17 points (7-of-12 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), 12 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in Sunday’s win over the Warriors.
Towns missed Friday’s win over the Pacers with a knee injury, but returned Sunday and had an excellent game in the win over the Warriors. The 30-year-old center recorded a double-double. Towns has provided first-round per game value over the last two weeks. The Knicks have three games upcoming in Week 21, starting with a matchup against the Pacers on Tuesday.

Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, Josh Gart, OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns will start Sunday’s game against the Warriors.
After sitting out Friday’s win over the Pacers, Towns is back in the lineup while Hart returns after a two-game absence. Their returns mean that Mitchell Robinson and Landry Shamet will come off the bench for the Knicks’ final game of Week 21.

Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) is not on the injury report for Sunday’s game against the Warriors.
Towns is back after a one-game absence, having missed Friday’s win over the Pacers. His return means that Mitchell Robinson, who grabbed a career-high 22 rebounds, will return to his usual reserve role.

Mitchell Robinson produced 12 points (6-of-10 FGs), 22 rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots in Friday’s win over the Pacers.
Having grabbed 21 rebounds on three separate occasions in his NBA career, Robinson broke that seal on Friday. Starting for Karl-Anthony Towns (knee), the Knicks’ center shot 60 percent from the field and recorded 22 rebounds. Add in the steals and blocks, and this was an excellent night for those who streamed Robinson. If Towns can’t play in Sunday’s game against the Warriors, do not hesitate to add Robinson.

Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) and Josh Hart (knee) are out for Friday’s game against the Pacers.
The Knicks will be without two starters for Friday’s game, with Towns joining Hart on the sidelines. Landry Shamet, who started for Hart in Wednesday’s win over the Jazz, should retain that role in the final game of New York’s road trip. The other replacement in the starting lineup is Mitchell Robinson, with Ariel Hukporti serving as the backup.
