Brandin Podziemski, De’Anthony Melton, Will Richard, Draymond Green and Malevy Leons will start Tuesday’s game against the Kings.
Injuries to Gui Santos and Kristaps Porziņǵis have forced two changes to the Warriors’ starting lineup. They’ve been replaced by Richard and Leons, with the former offering a higher ceiling for fantasy managers in active leagues.
  • GSW Forward #33
Malevy Leons (illness) is not on the injury report for Friday’s game against the Wizards.
Leons is back after sitting out Wednesday’s win over the Nets. He’ll provide frontcourt depth off the bench, but that is not enough to make Leons a player worth streaming in deep leagues.
  • GSW Forward #33
Malevy Leons (illness) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Nets.
Added to the Warriors’ injury report earlier Wednesday, Leons is officially out. His absence will not affect fantasy basketball, even with him logging rotation minutes recently.
  • GSW Forward #33
Malevy Leons (illness) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Nets.
Absent from the initial injury report, Leons is now questionable for Wednesday’s game. Generally, that downgrade does not bode well for a player’s availability. Leons’ status does not affect fantasy basketball, even with the Warriors’ many injuries.
  • GSW Forward #23
Draymond Green (back), Quinten Post (foot) and Malevy Leons (wrist) are available for Saturday’s game against the Hawks.
Of the three, Green’s status is most important since he’s locked in as a starter. Post could start, as the Warriors won’t have Kristaps Porziņǵis, but a move into the first five would not significantly impact his short-term fantasy prospects. Leons started the second half of Friday’s loss to the Pistons, but he also is not worth the risk in redraft leagues.
  • GSW Center #21
Quinten Post (foot) and Malevy Leons (wrist) are questionable for Saturday’s game against the Hawks.
Post missed Friday’s loss to the Pistons with a foot injury while Leons had five points in 11 minutes before injuring his wrist. With Kristaps Porzingis (back) already ruled out and Draymond Green (back) also questionable, the Warriors could be severely short-handed in the frontcourt against the Hawks.
  • GSW Forward-Center #7
Kristaps Porziņǵis (back) recorded five points (1-of-5 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, two blocks and one three-pointer in Friday’s loss to the Pistons.
Porziņǵis only played 11 minutes on Friday, as lower back soreness banished him to the locker room during the second quarter. While considered questionable to return, Porziņģis never did, as the game got out of hand. Even worse for the Warriors was Malevy Leons (five points, one rebound, one assist, and one three-pointer), who started the third quarter with KP out, leaving during the fourth quarter with a right wrist injury. The Warriors visit the Hawks on Saturday, and they could be even more shorthanded for that one.

Brandin Podziemski, Will Richard, Malevy Leons, Gui Santos and Quinten Post will start Sunday’s game against the Knicks.
The Warriors are extremely shorthanded for Sunday’s game, resulting in multiple changes to the starting lineup. Richard, Leons and Post are in the starting lineup, but all are desperation plays at the end of the week. Podziemski and Santos should still be available in 12-team leagues; stream them instead.

NBA Insiders Marc Stein and Jake Fischer report the Warriors are “nearing a deal” to sign Malevy Leons to a two-way contract.
They also reported the Warriors will waive 2025 second-round pick Alex Toohey to make room for Leons. After going undrafted in 2024, Leons spent time with the Thunder and made six appearances for them in November, 2024. He was with OKC this past summer and during the preseason but didn’t make the final roster. He’ll likely spend more time in the G League than in Golden State.
