The Bucks signed Miroslav Raduljica to a two-year deal with the third year being a team option.
He’s a seven-foot center, which is interesting due to the fact that the Bucks just waived Gustavo Ayon on Thursday. The Serbian went undrafted, and that can probably be attributed to him missing a planned workout for several NBA teams in 2010. Even though he had good stats in the Ukraine last season, averaging 14.2 points on 61.6 percent shooting, this is yet another strange move by Milwaukee.
  • Miroslav Raduljica came off the bench for career highs of 10 points and seven rebounds in Wednesday’s ugly loss to the Spurs.
Larry Drew cleared his bench to see what they could do, as this game was over after the first quarter. Raduljica played pretty well, but there’s no need to pick him up unless Larry Drew continues to bench his starters and roll his bench for extended minutes going forward. He had a total of 20 points and 13 rebounds for the entire season before tonight’s explosion.
  • CLE Center #9
Larry Sanders suffered an apparent head injury during the second quarter against the Rockets on Saturday and went to the locker room.
Sanders looked to take an elbow to the face and had trouble getting up under the basket. He walked back to the locker room after getting some attention from the training staff on the bench, so hopefully the team will have an update soon. The shorthanded Bucks will give Zaza Pachulia and Miroslav Raduljica some extra run to help John Henson.
  • CLE Center #9
Larry Sanders will not return to Saturday’s game due to blurred vision.
In typical Bucks fashion, Sanders was expected to return to the game and the team changed their mind on him. It’s unknown if his blurred vision will keep him out for any more game action and the team will hopefully update his status before Monday’s game. Miroslav Raduljica started the second half and Zaza Pachulia should also see more playing time. Sanders finished with two points and four boards in four minutes.
  • NBA Center #27
Zaza Pachulia came off the bench for 12 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, a steal and zero blocks on 5-of-5 shooting in 29 minutes of Saturday’s loss.
Larry Sanders left tonight’s game with blurred vision and Pachulia has actually been playing well, even when Sanders was healthy. Over his last three games, Zaza is averaging 13.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals for the Bucks, and he could be worth a look in most leagues if Sanders is going to miss time with his eye injury. Miroslav Raduljica started the second half at center, but finished with just two points and three boards in 19 minutes, meaning Pachulia is the backup center to own in Milwaukee.
  • CLE Center #9
Larry Sanders (thumb) practiced with the Bucks on Thursday and he’s expected to play in Friday’s game vs. the Nets.
Unless he has a setback, patient fantasy owners will finally get Sanders back in the active rotation this week. Larry Drew limited Sanders’ playing time early in the year and John Henson has proven capable as a center, but Zaza Pachulia (foot) is out of commission and it’s doubtful that rookie Miroslav Raduljica will be a thorn in Sanders’ side. We expect some rust, and Sanders’ conditioning might be an issue, so consider keeping him benched until he’s up to speed.
  • Miroslav Raduljica scored 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting with six rebounds and a block in 23 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Don’t look now but Raduljica is playing well and gives Larry Drew the perfect foil to mess with the already incoherent rotation in Milwaukee. Look for Miroslav to do more to hurt the fantasy value of others than he does for himself, at least for now.
  • MIA Coaching Staff #31
Caron Butler (knee) will not play against Cavs on Friday.
He tried to warm up for the game and could not give it a go. Butler has missed his last 12 games, but it sounds like he could be back soon. The Bucks are starting Brandon Knight, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, John Henson and Miroslav Raduljica tonight. Butler is expected to be on a minutes limit upon his return.
  • Miroslav Raduljica made the first start of his career on Friday with a line of seven points, four boards and two blocks in 17 minutes.
He had four fouls and still hasn’t done much to show he’s even a situational player. The Bucks really have some serious issues in depth, but that’s still not even enough to pick up Raduljica in almost any format.
  • Miroslav Raduljica scored a career-high 14 points against the Sixers on Saturday, adding four boards, one assists and two steals in 22 minutes.
He really is the only healthy center on their team with Larry Sanders (thumb) and John Henson (knee) out of the lineup. Raduljica made his first start of his career on Friday and will likely stay in the rotation as long as Henson is out. Considering Henson wasn’t ruled out until literally right before tip and the injury seems like it’s just a day-to-day thing, the rookie is only worth a look in very deep leagues.
