Tyrus Thomas has been on the fringes of the NBA for a while. The former No. 4 overall pick has battled various injuries over the past few years since being traded to Charlotte in 2010, and the then-Bobcats waived him using the amnesty provision in 2013. Now healthy again, he’s been putting out feelers with NBA teams hoping to get a training camp invite, but Yahoo’s Marc Spears is reporting that he’s ultimately decided to take an offer from a German club.

Thomas signed a 10-day contract with the Grizzlies last season and appeared in two games. He’s been making noise about wanting to make another attempt at an NBA comeback, but he’s opting for security and guaranteed money in Germany.
