It’s all starting to come together for Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks. Those two are building chemistry, the Bucks have switched back to their drop defense, and a number of other things have the Bucks looking better on both ends.

They have won five in a row now after beating the Wizards on Monday night, thanks to Giannis Antetokounmpo going off for 42 points on 20-of-23 shooting, 13 rebounds and eight assists.

It’s a long season and it’s easy to forget that early on. We look at the first handful of games and then draw sweeping conclusions. Even when we know teams thrown together over the summer usually need time to gel.

The Bucks may be in a soft part of the schedule facing teams like Washington, but they are using it to find their footing and they look like a threat again. There are a lot of questions still to answer — starting with Khris Middleton’s health and role — but there is a season to answer them.
