Sandfort

After spending last season with the Thunder on a two-way contract, Sandfort was waived just before the start of the Utah Classic. Oklahoma City has since filled all three of its two-way slots, but Sandfort can certainly use this time to audition for the 29 other teams. He shot the ball extremely well on Monday, going 4-of-6 from deep, rebounding from a 4-of-12 showing in Saturday’s blowout loss to the Grizzlies.

Not selected in the 2025 draft, Sandfort spent last season with the Thunder on a two-way contract, appearing in four NBA games. While Thursday’s transaction opens up a two-way slot for Oklahoma City to use on another player, Sandfort is on the team’s Summer League roster.

Sandfort signed a two-way deal with OKC in March, and this was just his fourth appearance. The Thunder already clinched the best record in the league, which led to him playing 28 minutes for a second straight game. He had a monster performance off the bench in this game, but he likely won’t see the floor during the playoffs. Still, it was an impressive performance, and he’ll certainly be kept around the organization.

The undrafted rookie out of Iowa spent time with the OKC Blue of the G League, and he’ll offer some emergency depth for the parent club. Sandfort isn’t on the fantasy radar.
