It’s not at the expense of Joe Johnson, who is still starting at shooting guard. Apparently the plan is for Richardson to start against teams, like the Hawks, who lack a true center, allowing the Suns to play small. D’Antoni will start centers Jake Voskuhl or Jackson Vroman at times instead of Richardson. Tonight’s lineup will feature Steve Nash, Johnson, Richardson, Shawn Marion, and Amare Stoudemire.

The injury is not expected to keep Richardson out of Friday’s game.

Richardson may want to play again just to show that his back injury shouldn’t be a concern for potential suitors this summer.

Richardson might play tomorrow.

Richardson is listed as day-to-day.

The Clippers will get Corey Maggette back tonight. If Richardson can’t play, the team could use Marko Jaric at shooting guard and Doug Overton at the point.

Richardson has missed four of the last five games with the injury and says he is still in pain.

Richardson has a sprained right hand and Overton a sprained left foot. Both players are day-to-day.

The Clippers have no one else they seem especially excited about spending their cap room on, so it’d be a surprise if they didn’t match the offer.
