The Rockets have signed rookie free agent guard Rob Gray for training camp.
Gray proved himself as an effective shooter during his three years with the University of Houston, averaging 18.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.2 steals, while also becoming the AAC’s all-time leading scorer. The 6'1" rookie looked good for the Rockets in Summer League, even though his time was cut short due to a minor ankle injury. He said he wants to “soak up as much information” as he can with Houston, but considering their backcourt depth this is likely just a training camp contract.
