The Jazz have waived Romaro Gill, Trevon Bluiett, Tre Scott and Jake Toolson.
All these guys were training camp invites who were never expected to make the regular-season roster.

  • Point Guard #33
Trevon Blueitt has been released by the Jazz.
Blueitt signed a camp deal with the Jazz and will likely end up on their G-League squad.
  • Point Guard #33
Trevon Bluiett has signed a contract with the Jazz.
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but this is likely just a camp invite with Utah’s 2019-20 roster mostly complete. Bluiett was on a two-way deal with the Pelicans last year, so maybe he’ll be able to earn a similar contract with the Jazz.
  • Point Guard #33
Trevon Bluiett scored 23 points with four rebounds, two assists, one steal, two blocks and six 3-pointers in 29 minutes against the Wizards on Saturday.
The Summer League environment serves Bluiett well. He had a few dominant performances in Las Vegas last summer and picked right up where he left off. His opportunity with the Pelicans has lessened with all the moves they’ve made over the last month, but that doesn’t mean he can’t find a spot elsewhere.
  • Point Guard #33
Trevon Bluiett underwent successful surgery on Tuesday, January 29, to repair an ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb
There is no timetable for his return. Spencer Dinwiddie had a similar procedure last month and could miss 3-6 weeks, but every injury is different. If the Pels have a fire sale, it’s possible he can see minutes with the big club in March.
  • Point Guard #33
Trevon Bluiett had another outstanding offensive game on Saturday, scoring 26 points with three rebounds, one assist, one steal and six 3-pointers in 21 minutes.
He was undrafted in 2018 after earning second-team All-American honors last year. He also was an All-Big East first teamer three times in his time at Xavier. He scored 24 points in 19 minutes yesterday, and now he should get heavy run with Frank Jackson out. Maybe he gets a camp invite, but he has the attention of DFS players in Vegas.
  • Point Guard #33
Trevon Bluiett has agreed to a two-way deal with the Pelicans.
He was undrafted and showed out in Vegas as one of the best shooters in summer league. Bluiett scored 25.0 points per game over his first two, but defenses had to pay attention to him after his head-turning start. With the Pelicans lacking some depth, it’s possible we see Bluiett at some point when they get hit with the injury bug.
