Tyrese Proctor (personal) is out for Friday’s game against the Spurs.
Proctor will not be available for Friday’s game, but his absence does not significantly affect fantasy basketball. With Lonzo Ball available, the rookie wing picked up a DNP-CD in Wednesday’s loss to the Trail Blazers.
  • CLE Guard #2
Lonzo Ball (illness) is probable for Wednesday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Ball has missed Cleveland’s last two games, freeing up additional minutes for Craig Porter Jr. and Tyrese Proctor. However, they also benefitted from the absence of Darius Garland on Monday, so even fewer minutes will be available to Porter and Proctor if Ball plays.
  • CLE Guard #10
Darius Garland (toe) is out for Monday’s matchup with the Pacers.
Garland logged 31 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Celtics, but he’ll sit out the second leg of Cleveland’s back-to-back set. With Lonzo Ball (illness) and Sam Merrill (hand) also out, expect Craig Porter Jr. and Tyrese Proctor to see increased run. Donovan Mitchell should be in line for monster usage, while Jaylon Tyson could get also get a bump in usage.
  • CLE Guard #10
Darius Garland (toe) will be on a minutes limit for Friday’s game against the Pacers.
Garland is available after missing five games with a toe injury that initially became an issue in March and required surgery during the offseason. He’ll be under a restriction on Friday, with the expectation being that the point guard won’t play more than 30 minutes. Garland’s return impacts Craig Porter Jr. and Tyrese Proctor the most, as the latter may fall out of the rotation entirely.
  • CLE Guard #5
Sam Merrill (hand) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Rockets.
Merrill, who hit six three-pointers in Monday’s win over the Bucks, is dealing with a sprained right (shooting) hand. If he’s unable to go, there may be rotation minutes available to Tyrese Proctor, as Cleveland remains without Darius Garland and Jaylon Tyson. However, Proctor is not a player worth streaming in this spot, as the playing time is not guaranteed.
  • CLE Forward-Center #22
Larry Nance Jr. (knee) is questionable for Monday’s game against the Heat.
Nance was not available for Saturday’s win over the Bulls, which was Cleveland’s second game in as many nights. Dean Wade absorbed most of the minutes that would have gone to Nance, with Tyrese Proctor sneaking into the back end of the rotation. That will likely remain the case if Nance cannot play on Monday.
  • CLE Forward-Center #32
Dean Wade (eye) is available to play against the Bulls on Saturday.
Wade will be back after a one-game absence, and he will occupy a large reserve role at the forward spot. Wade isn’t a great option for fantasy basketball, but he is a solid rotation player for the Cavaliers. His return will take away minutes from Tyrese Proctor.
  • CLE Guard #2
Lonzo Ball (knee) is out for Monday’s game against the Pistons.
Unsurprisingly, Ball will not play in Monday’s game after logging 23 minutes off the bench in Sunday’s win over the Bucks. Craig Porter Jr. should assume the backup point guard responsibilities, boosting his playing time. Also, rookie Tyrese Proctor could re-enter the rotation after picking up a DNP-CD on Sunday. Neither player qualifies as a must-stream option, especially on an 11-game night.
  • CLE Guard #24
Tyrese Proctor finished with 14 points (5-of-6 FGs), two assists, one block and three three-pointers against the Bulls on Tuesday.
Cleveland added Proctor with the 49th pick in June, and after a strong summer league, his first preseason outing was a productive one. It’s still early, but he’s looking like a steal for the Cavs at this point. It’s unlikely that he plays a significant role as a rookie, but he’s worth stashing in dynasty formats.
  • CLE Shooting Guard
Tyrese Proctor had 35 points (11-of-24 FGs), three rebounds, four assists, two steals and four three-pointers in the 94-86 loss to the Kings on Wednesday.
Proctor was 4-of-14 from behind the three-point line, but a perfect 9-of-9 on free throws. The 21-year-old shooting guard dropped a game-high 35 points after debuting in Summer League last week. After a productive three-year career at Duke, Proctor will be in the mix for a bench role with the Cavaliers next season.
