Ravens rookie T Adam Terry was carted to the locker room Thursday with an ankle injury.
The second-round tackle is a reserve for the Ravens. X-rays came up negative.

    Ravens signed T Adam Terry, a second-round pick, to a five-year contract.
He’s likely Orlando Brown’s successor. The Ravens still have three rookies unsigned. The team reports for camp today.
  • Ravens T Jonathan Ogden is out indefinitely with a hyper-extended toe.
” t’s going to be painful all year long,” said Billick. “It’s a matter of him adjusting to it. I don’t know if Jonathan will be able to come back from this or not.” RT Adam Terry will move to the left side in Ogden’s place, and rookie Marshal Yanda would replace Terry. It’s devastating news for Willis McGahee owners and the rest of the Ravens’ offense.
  • Jonathan Ogden (questionable, foot) was limited in practice Friday.
If Ogden misses Monday’s game, he’ll be replaced by usual RT Adam Terry. Rookie Marshal Yanda would kick into the starting lineup in place of Terry.

Ravens coach Brian Billick confirmed Monday that he expects starting RT Adam Terry, CB Chris McAlister, TE Todd Heap, QB Steve McNair, and DE Trevor Pryce to return to the lineup after Baltimore’s Week 8 bye.
If Jonathan Ogden can also return, the Ravens will have their bookend tackles back, which would bode positively for McNair’s cause. Billick also indicated backup TE Daniel Wilcox (toe) could wind up on injured reserve.

Ravens LT Adam Terry left Sunday’s game with an ankle injury and was on crutches in the locker room afterwards.
Terry rolled his ankle trying to block, and was helped off by trainers. He was taken to the locker room for X-rays. His status for Week 6 is in doubt. Rookie Jared Gaither filled in admirably when Terry went down.

Ravens signed third-round OL Marshal Yanda to a three-year contract.
Yanda, a 6-4/305-pound Iowa product, somewhat surprisingly played tackle during pre-training camp workouts. He could become a starter there if Jonathan Ogden retires in 2008 and Adam Terry moves to the blind side.
  • Ravens LT Jonathan Ogden (toe) is shooting to return in Week 9.
Baltimore faces Pittsburgh after a Week 8 bye, and Ogden hopes to start against the division rivals. With Adam Terry (ankle) out this Sunday, rookie Jared Gaither will be guarding Steve McNair or Kyle Boller’s blind side.
