Steelers signed OG Andrus Peat, formerly of the Raiders.
The Steelers also signed QB Logan Woodside. Peat appeared in 15 games last year and made one start at left guard. The former first-round pick spent nearly the first decade of his career in New Orleans. He played primarily at left guard but still logged almost 2,000 snaps at left tackle over the years. Peat will be a versatile backup for a young Pittsburgh line.
  • LV Guard #75
Raiders G/T Andrus Peat (ankle) is questionable to return Week 9 against the Bengals.
Peat came in for the injured Kolton Miller (ankle) and subsequently left towards the end of the second quarter. Heading into the locker room at halftime, Peat was listed as questionable to return. He re-entered the game in the third quarter.
  • LV Guard #75
Raiders signed former Saints OG Andrus Peat to a one-year, $2 million contract.
The nine-year veteran has spent his entire career with the Saints before searching for a new home this offseason, eventually landing with the Raiders in what should be a depth/utility role on the interior offensive line. The specifics of the contract were not yet disclosed. Peat appeared in 111 contests over the previous nine seasons, 102 of which were starts. The Raiders experienced significant turnover along the offensive line this offseason, something that likely played a role in the veteran signing.
  • FA Guard #75
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports free agent OG Andrus Peat is scheduled to meet with the Titans.
Peat started in 12 of the 16 games he appeared in last season, allowing two sacks on 30 pressures while earning a PFF grade of 60.2. The long-time Saint played almost all of last season at left tackle but has spent the majority of his career at guard. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him move back to guard at his new landing spot, but his versatility along the left side of the line will make him a valuable asset for any team.
  • PIT OFFENSIVE GUARD (SUB) #71
Saints OL Andrus Peat (foot) was carted to the locker room in Week 16 against the Browns.
He was immediately announced as questionable to return after being carted to the locker room with his right cleat off. Peat’s absence is a significant hit to the New Orleans ground game, which is appreciable considering the difficult playing conditions in Cleveland.

  • PIT OFFENSIVE GUARD (SUB) #71
Saints LG Andrus Peat (triceps) is questionable for Week 12 against the 49ers.
He got in three limited sessions this week, an upgrade over the one he had last week when he was active but did not play. It’s possible the Saints are able to cobble together a better offensive line this week between Peat playing and James Hurst clearing concussion protocol.

Andrus Peat (triceps) is questionable for Week 11 against the Rams.
Peat rallied for a limited practice on Friday after missing last week’s game against the Steelers and both Wednesday and Thursday practices. He’s legitimately questionable, but the Saints are so thin on their offensive line right now that anyone who can go likely will be given a real chance.

  • PIT OFFENSIVE GUARD (SUB) #71
Saints LG Andrus Peat (pec) won’t play in Week 7 against the Cardinals.
Peat was unable to practice at all this week and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported him as out for this game earlier in the day, so this news isn’t much of a surprise. Peat is considered week to week with the injury, so it’s possible he missed more than just this game. Calvin Throckmorton will take his spot in the lineup.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Saints LG Andrus Peat (chest) likely won’t play in Week 7 against the Cardinals.
Peat, who left the team’s Week 6 loss to the Bengals, is considered week to week, according to Rapoport. That would indicate Peat has almost no shot of suiting up Thursday night against Arizona. Peat would join a raft of Saints players sidelined by injury. The good news for New Orleans: The Cardinals have the third worst pass rush in the league, according to Pro Football Focus grades.

  • PIT OFFENSIVE GUARD (SUB) #71
Saints LG Andrus Peat (chest) did not practice Tuesday.
He was also listed as a DNP on Monday. Peat left Week 6 with a chest injury, and he appears to be at best doubtful for Thursday night. Calvin Throckmorton, who got the start at left guard when Peat was out in Week 4, is dealing with a hip injury of his own, but he appears likely to play this week.
