    Vikings signed LB Anthony Barr.
Shortly after it was announced the Eagles hosted Barr for a visit, ESPN’s Adam Schefter announced the Vikings plan to sign Barr after losing Jordan Hicks to a leg injury. Barr was selected by the Vikings with the No. 9 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He earned four Pro Bowl nods in eight seasons with the Vikings but wasn’t brought back at the end of the 2021 season. Barr totaled 58 tackles, two TFLs, and one sack through 14 games with the Cowboys last season.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports the Eagles hosted free agent LB Anthony Barr for a visit.
Barr has visited with both the Saints and Giants since being let go by the Cowboys at the end of last season. Perhaps a sit down with the Eagles results in a contract, but the 31-year-old has struggled to find work since hitting the free agent market. Barr totaled 58 tackles and one sack in 14 games with the Cowboys in 2022 and is little more than a situational player at this stage in his career.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports free agent LB Anthony Barr visited with the Giants.
Barr recently visited with the Saints but left without a contract. Now, the former Vikings and Cowboys linebacker will look to see if he and the Giants can come to an agreement on a deal to take him off the market. Last season, Barr totaled 58 tackles, two TFLs, and one sack with the Cowboys while appearing in 14 games. Injuries have limited him over the last several seasons, but he still adds valuable depth when healthy.

ESPN’s Dianna Russini reports free agent LB Anthony Barr is meeting with the Saints.
Barr played in 14 games for the Cowboys last season, totaling 58 tackles, two TFLs, and one sack in his first year with the team. The former Minnesota Viking was a four-time Pro Bowler from 2015 to 2018 but played in just 13 games in his last two years with the team. At this point, Barr is probably little more than added depth for the Saints, should they choose to sign him.
  • Linebacker
Cowboys signed LB Anthony Barr, formerly of the Vikings.
Drafted in 2014, Barr has taken every snap of his career for the Vikings. Injuries limited him to 11 games last year, but the now 30-year-old linebacker still had some juice. He played on 96 percent of the team’s snaps when active, totaling three interceptions, 2.5 sacks, and three TFLs. Barr isn’t likely to play an every-down role for Dallas, but he will be a solid rotational piece for the elite defense.

Vikings LB Anthony Barr said “he’s playing” in Week 14 against the Steelers.
“It sucks, to put it simply,” Barr said of his latest setback. “I feel like I was playing pretty good up until I tweaked [right hamstring] against the 49ers.” Barr has played in eight of 28 possible games the last two years, being limited due to a myriad of injuries including to his knee and pectoral. HIs presence on Thursday night would be an impactful one against Pittsburgh’s run-heavy attack.

Vikings LB Anthony Barr (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday.
Barr suffered a hamstring injury last week against the 49ers. Despite the missed practice, coach Mike Zimmer expressed optimism Barr would be able to suit up this week.

  • Linebacker
Vikings LB Anthony Barr was forced from Minnesota’s Week 12 loss to the 49ers with a right hamstring injury and did not return.
Barr was injured as he got lost in the woods in third quarter coverage. Barr has been limited to six 2021 appearances by knee woes after missing most of 2020 with a torn pectoral. He has earned poor PFF grades when on the field.

  • Linebacker
Vikings declared LB Anthony, QB Kellen Mond and WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette inactive for Week 10 against the Chargers.
The Vikings are mostly healthy, though Barr has struggled to stay on the field this season. He will enter Week 11 having made just four total appearances.

Vikings LB Anthony Barr (knee) did not practice Thursday.
Barr also sat out Wednesday’s session. It is possible Minnesota is just resting their star linebacker following a 98-snap effort in Week 9, but he is looking questionable heading into Friday’s session. Barr has a fumble recovery and interception in just four games so far this year.
