    Chiefs released C Austin Reiter.
Reiter played in Kansas City for three seasons before joining the Saints and then Dolphins in 2021. From 2018 to 2020, Reiter made 18 starts for the Chiefs. His experience in the system should earn him a spot on the team’s practice squad.

  • Chiefs signed C Austin Reiter, formerly of the Dolphins, to an undisclosed contract.
Take that, Miami. Reiter played a game with the Saints and six for Miami last year after not being re-signed by Kansas City. He was mostly regarded as a practice-squad level player by other teams. Reiter, 31 in November, will be depth for the Chiefs behind Creed Humphrey.

  • Dolphins signed C Austin Reiter off the Saints’ practice squad.
Reiter has been on the Saints’ practice squad for a little under a month. He was elevated to New Orleans’ active roster last week but didn’t see any action. Reiter has 33 career starts, 28 of which came with the Chiefs from 2019 to 2020.

  • Saints signed C Austin Reiter to the practice squad.
He’s also expected to be promoted in time to suit up for New Orleans’ upcoming game against the Panthers. Reiter, 30 in November, started for the Chiefs the past two years. He’s a veteran addition for the team.

  • NO Offensive Lineman #78
NFL Network’s Mike Garofolo reports Saints C Erik McCoy is out with a calf injury.
There are whispers McCoy could be headed to injured reserve, meaning he’d miss at least the next three games. A second round pick by the Saints in 2019, McCoy has started every game for New Orleans over the past two seasons. Pro Football Focus graded McCoy as the league’s 11th best center in 2020. His extended absence could be an issue for Jameis Winston and Alvin Kamara. The Saints are trying out former Chiefs C Austin Reiter.

  • The Giants are expected to visit with free agent OL Austin Reiter.
This Giants are looking at offensive line depth after LG Shane Lemieux (knee) went down in training camp. Reiter, 29, started for the Chiefs the last two seasons and would give the Giants another veteran on the interior line. The Texans and Bengals have also visited with Reiter.

  • Free agent C Austin Reiter will work out for the Texans.
Reiter started for the Chiefs in 2020 but the team committed to a full rebuild of their line in the offseason, leaving him without a team. Reiter logged 28 starts over the past two years and will likely compete for a starting gig in camp. His biggest competition will be Justin Britt, formerly of the Seahawks, who missed all of 2020 with a knee injury.

  • NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports the Chiefs will not re-sign impending free agent C Austin Reiter.
Claimed off waivers in 2018, Reiter emerged as a starter the past two seasons. The Chiefs are embarking on a full-scale rebuild of their offensive line, with Reiter joining LT Eric Fisher and RT Mitchell Schwartz on their way out the door. Going on 30, Reiter won’t be guaranteed a starting job on the open market, though he was a solid pivot in 2020.

  • Chiefs signed C Austin Reiter to an extension.
Reiter was claimed off waivers in September. He held his own in four starts with Mitch Morse sidelined and gives Kansas City some interior line depth.
  • Browns signed C Austin Reiter off the Redskins’ practice squad.
With Cameron Erving week to week with a bruised lung, Reiter will provide depth at center. RG John Greco is expected to switch over to center while Erving is out.
