Rams WLB Ben Leber left Monday’s Week 2 game against the Giants late in the third quarter with a groin injury, and is questionable to return.
It was a non-contact injury and Leber was seen on the sideline bicycle shortly after. He was replaced by backup Chris Chamberlain.

Chargers linebacker Ben Leber injured his foot in Sunday’s game.
    He will be re-evaluated today.

The Eagles recently worked out free agent LB Ben Leber.
Signed to a one-year, $1.25 million contract by the Rams last August, Leber struggled to get on the field before drawing his release in December. Now 33, he won’t draw interest as anything other than a veteran camp body.
  • LA Linebacker
    Rams waived LB Ben Leber.
Leber was a huge disappointment for the Rams after signing a one-year, $1.25 million deal in training camp, and was sent to the bench in favor of Chris Chamberlain in Week 6. He had been alternating between being a reserve and healthy scratch the past six weeks. Four days shy of his 33rd birthday, the sun is rapidly setting on Leber’s productive 10-year NFL career.
  • LA Linebacker
Former Rams and Vikings LB Ben Leber has retired from football.
Leber opened last season as St. Louis’ starting weak-side linebacker, though he was benched after three games and waived in December. The 33-year-old enjoyed his best years with the Vikings in the mid- to late-2000s, where he started at both outside spots and played inside in the nickel. Leber finishes his career with 113 starts, 24 sacks, five interceptions, and 13 forced fumbles.

Chargers linebacker Ben Leber hopes to return from a foot injury in time for training camp.
The usual starter at strong-side linebacker, Leber was likely headed for the bench after the Chargers drafted Shawne Merriman. Merriman’s holdout gives Leber a shot to keep his job.

Chargers LB Ben Leber underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove a bone spur from his right ankle.
It’s very poor timing for Leber, who figures to lose his starting strongside linebacker job to first-round pick Shawn Merriman.

Despite an Associated Press report that Chad Greenway is now playing the strong side, Greenway lined up on the weak side at practice Wednesday.
Ben Leber is playing the SAM position and a less intriguing IDP option.
  • MIN Linebacker #52
Chad Greenway is fully participating in Minnesota’s OTAs this week, nine months removed from tearing his ACL.
They are surprisingly putting Greenway at strong-side linebacker according to the Associated Press, with E.J. Henderson in the middle and Ben Leber on the weak side. If the formation sticks, Greenway’s fantasy potential this year would be lessened.
