Dolphins sign Nebraska DT Ben Stille.
A five-year player at Nebraska, Stille (6’4/300) saw early production as a redshirt freshman in 2017 when he totaled 24 tackles, 9.5 TFLs, and 3.5 sacks. He was named to the Big-10 All-Freshman team. By the time it was all said and done, Stille had amassed 149 tackles, 29.5 TFLs, and 14.5 sacks and was twice an honorable mention for the All-Big 10 team. One of the more athletic tackles of this class, Stille has a 9.34 relative athletic score and displayed great speed and agility at Nebraska’s pro day. One of the biggest knocks against Still is his inability to finish plays. Per PFF, he missed 15 tackles in his career including a career-high six in 2021. Stille doesn’t show the best burst off the line, but his motor after the snap is that of a relentless pass rusher. Stille is a positionally versatile player, which could help him at the next level.

Nebraska redshirt junior DE Ben Stille will start in place of suspended senior DL Khalil Davis in Saturday’s game against Northwestern.
Davis was suspended by the Big Ten for Saturday’s contest after determining that he struck a player in this past Saturday’s loss to Ohio State. It’s a decision which is being backed by Huskers HC Scott Frost. While this will be the 6-foot-5, 295-pound Stille’s first start of the current campaign, he is far from green when it comes to taking on heftier responsibilities. Last season, Stille made 11 starts.
