Chiefs released tight end Billy Baber, fullback Marvin Brown, tackle Matt Miller, defensive end Demetrios Walker, cornerback Sean Weston, punter Rodney Williams, and linebacker Scot Shields.
Baber, who was going to miss the season with a knee injury, is the only mild surprise here. The release of Williams means the Chiefs will have to sign a new punter to challenge struggling punter Jason Baker.
