Head coach Brad Childress said both have “muscle strains” and did not set a timetable for their return. McMullen is competing for the fourth receiver slot. James may stay on the PUP list to begin the regular season.

Someone had to go to make room for Aaron Curry, and it’s the journeyman McMullen. McMullen has very good size and actually started two games for the Seahawks last season. He’ll probably pop up in another camp.
