Jets OL Billy Turner (hand) is “trending in the right direction” for Week 12, according to head coach Robert Saleh.
Turner broke a bone in his hand in Week 9 and underwent surgery; however, he was not placed on the IR. After missing two games, it appears that he’s getting close to being able to being able to suit up against the Dolphins on Friday. That’s good news for the Jets since left tackle Mekhi Becton hurt his ankle in the Week 11 loss to the Bills, and the Jets need some healthy bodies on the offensive line.
  • NYJ Tackle #54
Jets OL Billy Turner is out for Week 10 with a broken bone in his hand.
The Jets already have starting guard Connor McGovern and starting tackle Duane Brown on the IR. Now Turner is expected to have surgery, according to Jets head coach Robert Saleh. As a result, Jets may have to turn to third-stringer Carter Warren at right tackle and will have just two healthy back-up linemen who is not actively on the practice squad. That could be bad news for Zach Wilson.
  • Jets signed T Billy Turner to a one-year, $3.15 million contract.
The Aaron Rodgers and Nathaniel Hackett reunion tour continues as the Jets sign yet another player with significant history with the two. Turner spent three seasons serving as a utility offensive lineman in Green Bay protecting Rodgers and appears set to do the same in New York. He appeared in eight games in 2022 as a member of the Broncos, seven of which were starts, before knee injuries claimed his season.

  • Jets hosted free agent OT Billy Turner for a visit.
Turner dealt with knee injuries through most of last season, limiting him to just eight games. A former third-round pick of the Dolphins in 2014, Turner has started 75 games in his NFL career and started seven games last season for the Broncos. With the Jets still in search of added depth along the offensive line, Turner could make sense for multiple reasons. In addition to his familiarity with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett’s scheme, Turner also spent three seasons in Green Bay playing with Aaron Rodgers.

  • Free agent OT Billy Turner (knee), formerly of the Broncos, says he’s “back to 100 percent”.
Turner battled through knee injuries last season and was limited to just eight games with the Broncos. Turner, 31, says this is the healthiest he’s felt in two years, as he now looks to catch on with another team this offseason. A former third-round pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, Turner has played in 91 games over the last eight seasons, spending time with the Dolphins, Packers, and Broncos thus far. He’ll likely latch on with a team in the next several months, even if it’s to compete for a depth role.

  • Broncos activated RT Billy Turner (knee) from injured reserve.
Turner had been sidelined since Week 9. Although 31-year-old Turner is hardly a difference-maker, it’s still a nice boost for a Broncos offensive line with little depth. It’s quite possible the Broncos stick with Cameron Fleming on Brett Rypien’s right side for Week 15 against the Cardinals.

  • FA Linebacker
Broncos designate Randy Gregory (knee) to return from injured reserve.
The 21-day clock for Gregory has officially been activated. Whether or not he’ll return for the Broncos -- who have already been eliminated from playoff contention -- remains up in the air. Gregory has been sidelined since October 4th after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery and had 11 QB hurries and two sacks through four games this season. Right tackle Billy Turner (knee) was also designated for return on Wednesday.

  • Broncos placed RT Billy Turner (knee) on injured reserve.
Deemed week-to-week by Nathaniel Hackett yesterday, Turner will now miss at least the next four weeks. The veteran tackle has not been healthy often this year, playing in just four games as he dealt with a ... knee injury all preseason. Quinn Bailey played in Turner’s stead last week.

  • Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett said RT Billy Turner is “week-to-week” with a knee injury.
Turner exited Week 10’s loss to the Titans with a knee injury and didn’t return to the field. He was replaced by Quinn Bailey, who is expected to fill in for Turner for the duration of his absence. Turner first suited up for the Broncos in Week 5 and has started each of the last three games at right tackle for the Broncos.

  • Broncos RT Billy Turner (knee) left Week 10’s game against Tennessee and was ruled out.
Turner appeared to injure his leg and was down on the field for a bit before walking slowly to the bench. Nathaniel Hackett told reporters after the game that Turner would undergo further evaluation. Quinn Bailey replaced him at tackle for Denver.
