Broncos signed RBs Jeremiah Johnson and Brandon Minor, WR Eron Riley, DE Mitch Unrein, LB Dominic Douglas, and S Nick Polk to reserve/future contracts.
They were all on Denver’s practice squad. We’ve always liked Johnson’s talent and preseason production, but he’s a better fit in a one-cut-and-go scheme than the power system the Broncos ran under Josh McDaniels and Eric Studesville. His agent should be hoping for a zone-blocking coach.

The Chicago Sun-Times confirms that supplemental draft pick Harvey Unga will have to compete for a roster spot this summer.
Kahil Bell, Garrett Wolfe, Brandon Minor, and Unga all bring unique skill sets to the table, none of which are particularly exciting. Wolfe has an edge because of his special teams ability. Unga could end up on the practice squad.

    Bears waived RB Brandon Minor.
Minor didn’t earn a single preseason carry, so he should’ve known this was coming. The Michigan alum was unable to oust Kahlil Bell or Garrett Wolfe.
  • DEN Running Back
Broncos placed RB Brandon Minor on injured reserve, ending his season.
His injury wasn’t disclosed, but Minor played in the preseason finale so we’re assuming he suffered it then. A former undrafted free agent from Michigan, Minor was one of the surprises of camp, seeing lots of work with the second team.
