Bills DE Joey Bosa (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday.
Bosa dealt with a hamstring injury earlier this month. It is unclear whether this one threatens his Week 17 availability. The Bills were also without S Jordan Poyer (hamstring) and DT Jordan Phillips (ankle) on Wednesday. Defensive players who were limited include CB Taron Johnson (quad), S Cam Lewis (hamstring) and LB Shaq Thompson (neck).
  • BUF Defensive Back #39
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Bills have agreed to terms with CB Cam Lewis on a two-year, $4 million contract.
Lewis was a special teams ace for the Bills last year, totaling 322 special teams snaps across a variety of positions. He also saw some run at both corner and safety, tallying two pass breakups in the process. After gutting their defense for cap purposes last week, bringing back Lewis as a core special teams contributor and a depth option for the secondary was an easy choice for the Bills.
  • BUF Cornerback #30
Bills CB Dane Jackson (concussion) will not play in Week 12 against the Eagles.
Micah Hyde, Cam Lewis, and Taron Johnson have all been cleared for action this week. The Bills avoided the worst-case scenario with all three defensive backs getting cleared but will still be shorthanded versus the Eagles as Taylor Rapp was also ruled out. Jackson suffered the concussion in Week 11 and will now eye a Week 13 return.
  • BUF Cornerback #30
Bills CB Dane Jackson (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday.
Jackson suffered a concussion in last week’s win over the Jets and has been placed into safety protocols along with fellow cornerback Taron Johnson. The Bills are already extremely thin in the secondary, so losing Jackson would be a big blow with a matchup against A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith coming this weekend. Fellow CB/S Cam Lewis was able to get a limited practice in on Wednesday, so it’s possible the Bills will have more than two healthy cornerbacks in Week 12.
