Browns hired Eagles VP of football operations Catherine Raiche as assistant general manager and VP of football operations.
Raiche has broken her own record for second highest-ranking female personnel executive in the history of the league. Raiche interviewed for the Vikings and Bears’ general manager vacancies in January. Raiche comes from an unorthodox background as a Canadian who cut her teeth in the CFL. It is a fraught time in the Browns’ front office with the Deshaun Watson off-the-field storm clouds refusing to dissipate.

The Vikings have requested permission to interview Eagles VP of football operations Catherine Raiche for their general manager vacancy.
In the Eagles’ front office since 2019, Raiche was promoted to her current position just last year. Only 32 years old, Raiche is a Canadian who got her start in the CFL before a brief stop in the XFL. She then arrived in Philadelphia. She is believed to be the first woman to interview for an NFL general manager job, though she would not be the first female GM. Susan Tose Spencer served in the role for the Eagles in the early ‘80s after being given the job by her father, the team owner. Also a lawyer, Raiche would bring a number of unique perspectives to a Vikings front office that has not had a new leader since 2006.
