Jaguars WR Charles Sharon caught three passes for 54 yards in a 31-19 win over the Bucs on Saturday.
Matt Jones had one catch for no gain, and Reggie Williams didn’t have any touches. Sharon continues to pull away as the Jags’ third WR.
  • JAC Wide Receiver
Charles Sharon did participate in the Jaguars’ mock game Saturday despite suffering a “slight concussion” on Thursday.
The second-year player is battling to make the Jaguars’ roster at receiver.

Reggie Williams was listed as Jacksonville’s third-team receiver on their initial depth chart behind Dennis Northcutt and Charles Sharon.
Coaches like to play games with early depth charts, but Williams is clearly in the doghouse. Matt Jones was behind Ernest Wilford on the other side. There is at least a chance Williams won’t make the team; we would take him off draft boards for now.
  • JAC Wide Receiver
Second-year pro Charles Sharon has been working with the first team at Jaguars minicamps.
He’s unlikely to stay there, but this shows that Jacksonville is serious about giving Sharon an opportunity. Dennis Northcutt will play the slot with Sharon, Ernest Wilford, Reggie Williams, Matt Jones, and Mike Walker all battling for roles outside. “We’re going to let the most productive guys emerge and play,” head coach Jack Del Rio says.
  • JAC Wide Receiver
Jaguars WR Charles Sharon has impressed head coach Jack Del Rio and could be in the mix to have a prominent role with the team.
The second-year receiver from Bowling Green needs to stay out of trouble off the field, but could earn valuable playing time if Reggie Williams and Matt Jones continue to disappoint.

Charles Sharon suffered a “slight concussion” and will miss the team’s annual Training-camp scrimmage on Friday night.
He hopes to return to action this weekend but the injury comes at a bad time for Sharon, who is in a highly competitive position battle. Receivers Matt Jones, Reggie Williams, Dennis Northcutt, Ernest Wilford, and rookies Mike Walker and John Broussard have the opportunity to showcase themselves in the scrimmage.
  • JAC Wide Receiver
Charles Sharon and John Broussard are battling for the final wide receiver spot on Jacksonville’s roster.
The loser is expected to go on the practice squad. Sharon ran as a starter in minicamps, then a third receiver throughout training camp, but it was apparently a motivational tactic aimed at Matt Jones and Reggie Williams.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Reggie Williams has reportedly passed John Broussard and Charles Sharon on the Jacksonville depth chart.
The two younger players may be fighting for the final roster spot. After a shaky camp in which Jack Del Rio was apparently testing him, it looks like Williams will make the team. He’s still a backup; You don’t want to go near him in fantasy leagues.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Reggie Williams caught three passes for 61 yards and a touchdown as the Jaguars rolled over the Redskins in Thursday’s preseason finale.
Charles Sharon was a favorite of David Garrard, finishing with four grabs for 51 yards. Rookie John Broussard chipped in 40 yards on three receptions. Williams had a false start and caught just 60 percent of his targets, so it wasn’t a great night, but he appears to be Jacksonville’s fourth receiver.

    Jaguars released WR Charles Sharon.
At one point this preseason Sharon was considered the Jags’ third WR, but he ultimately lost out to John Broussard. The Jaguars hope he will clear waivers and can be put on the practice squad.
