G Claude Terrell is being held out of minicamps with a wrist injury.
Veteran Todd Steussie is lining up with the first-team offense. A return date for Terrell is unknown.
  • Rams signed guard Claude Terrell, a fourth-round draft pick, to a three-year contract.
The 6'2, 343 pound former New Mexico player has a chance to make an immediate impact on the shaky St. Louis line.
  • Rams RG Richie Incognito is not expected to play in Week 1.
Incognito has a high ankle sprain. The Rams have decent depth behind him with former starter Claude Terrell and newly acquired Milford Brown.
  • Rams RG Richie Incognito (ankle) will return to the lineup this week.
Incognito’s high ankle sprain cost him the first four weeks. Milford Brown will slide over to right tackle, with Claude Terrell at right guard. The Rams’ only projected starting lineman at his original position is C Brett Romberg.
  • The Associated Press reports Rams OL Claude Terrell was arrested early Tuesday morning on charges he assaulted his wife at a suburban Houston hotel.
Terrell was picked up at another hotel after authorities “discovered a woman in “obvious signs of physical injury”. A fourth-round pick by the Rams in the 2005 draft, Smith appeared in six games for the Rams this season, starting three.
  • Rams released G Claude Terrell.
Terrell was arrested early Tuesday morning for allegedly assaulting his wife in suburban Houston. Terrell was already on probation for a 2006 assault, so this trouble with the law could ultimately result in a lengthy suspension anyway.
  • FA Tackle #77
The Rams will use Alex Barron as their new starting left tackle.
Barron was an All-ACC left tackle at Florida State, and if he limits his false starts, should prove a capable replacement for Orlando Pace. Milford Brown has been inserted at right tackle with Claude Terrell at right guard.
  • Former Rams OG Claude Terrell will spend 30 days in a Texas jail after pleading guilty to assault charges in the beating of his wife last October.
He also got three years probation and a $1,000 fine. Terrell, 25, looked like a promising mauler as a rookie in 2005, but is likely done in the league.
