247Sports’ Dan Sorensen writes that Utah sophomore TE Cole Fotheringham showed an improved game during spring practice.
“He has improved as a route runner and has shown that he’s able to use his big frame to create space and get open,” Sorensen writes of the 6-foot-4, 252-pound Fotheringham, additionally noting that he has sharpened his hand usage during the offseason. After delaying his initial enrollment at Utah to trek out on a two-year church mission, Fotheringham came on to log a 17-190-2 receiving line during the 2018 campaign. He has a good chance to improve on those numbers this fall, as he looks like he has a real shot to win a starting job out of August camp.
