Giants selected Toledo DT Darius Alexander with the No. 65 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
A converted offensive tackle, Alexander (6’4/305) found his calling on the defensive side of the ball where he learned the position for a few years before excelling for Toledo. A stout run defender, he ranked 11th nationally with 27 stops and a 90.3 run defense grade that ranks 3rd in FBS behind only Mason Graham and Walter Nolen. He’s no slouch in the pass game either, creating a staggering 83 pressures over the last two seasons with a 12.9 percent pass rush win rate. He backed up the on-field production with a 4.95s 40 (88th percentile), 31.5” vert (85th percentile) and 9’04” broad jump (89th percentile) for a 9.17 Relative Athletic Score. Well built and fortified athletically, Alexander powers into contact with 34” arms that he uses to club and rip through opponents. A Senior Bowl standout, he plays high on the rush at times due to his frenetic pace but Alexander has the tools to be a consistent rotational player in multiple fronts.
