ESPN’s Matt Bowen believes TE Kenyon Sadiq could be a “matchup player” in the Rams offense.
Sadiq out of Oregon is widely expected to be a first round pick after setting record at the NFL Combine. Bowen believes the hyper-athletic tight end could be a situation matchup player for Sean McVay, who used three tight end sets at the NFL’s highest rate in 2025. “With his frame and 4.39 speed, Sadiq could be a seam stretcher for quarterback Matthew Stafford. Plus, McVay could use Sadiq as a backside X receiver/power slot to draw favorable man matchups.” Sadiq, who had 80 receptions over three seasons at Oregon, could fit the LA offense “as a catch-and-run target on boot action concepts,” Bowen said. Stafford last season led the NFL with 75 pass attempts on designed rollouts. It’s a crowded tight end room in LA, with Colby Parikson, Tyler Higbee, Terrance Ferguson, and Davis Allen on the roster. Sadiq would likely function as a rotational player if he lands with the Rams, who have the 13th pick in the 2026 draft.
  • LA Tight End #87
Davis Allen was not targeted in Los Angeles’ NFC Championship loss to the Seahawks.
Allen went untargeted in the playoffs despite a strong snap share — he’s clearly the blocking tight end of the four-headed 3TE attack the Rams run. He enters the final year of his rookie contract in 2026 looking like a solid use of a roster spot for the Rams and someone fantasy managers should never, ever call on.
  • LA Tight End #87
Davis Allen caught 3-of-4 targets for 16 yards in Los Angeles’ Week 15 loss to the Lions.
Allen finished with 54 snaps, just behind Terrance Ferguson (1/6 with a missed connection deep shot) at 56 for the lead amongst non-Colby Parkinson tight ends. It feels like Ferguson is the more likely of the two to erupt in any given week, while Allen is the one that delivers this floor that’s slightly above ground. You don’t want this floor for fantasy purposes. But here it is.
  • LA Tight End #84
Colby Parkinson caught 4-of-5 targets for 41 yards and a touchdown in Los Angeles’ Week 10 win over the 49ers.
The Rams have created an incredible situation where none of their tight ends are actually fantasy-reliable, but all of them are threats to score off play-action in jumbo packages. Parkinson (39 snaps), Tyler Higbee (3/33, 36 snaps), Davis Allen (2/8/1, 35 snaps) and Terrance Ferguson (1/32, 22 snaps) are all potential TE2 plays right now given the situation. It’s impossible to figure out which of them will blow up every week given the playing time split.
  • LA Tight End #87
Davis Allen caught 3-of-4 targets for 37 yards in the Rams’ Week 9 win over the Saints.
Although the Rams secured the win, Allen had a rough day. The young tight end scored on a play-action catch-and-run sequence on the Rams’ fifth drive, but the touchdown was called back after referees viewed the replay, which clearly showed Allen stiff-arming his way down the field by pushing his would-be tackler’s facemask back and forth as the two strode together through the red zone. Rams K Joshua Klarty missed the ensuing field goal attempt wide right by a significant margin. Allen later helped fellow TE Tyler Higbee score a touchdown from one yard out by catching the defense’s attention going in motion pre-snap. Rams TE Colby Parkinson caught 2-of-2 targets for 10 yards as well.
  • LA Tight End #87
Davis Allen caught his only target for eight yards and a touchdown in the Rams’ Week 2 win over the Titans.
Allen locked down TE2 duties in LA this week with Colby Parkinson sidelined. He looked frisky on his only catch of the day, diving into the pylon for a touchdown once officials checked the replay. He played behind Tyler Higbee, as expected, but saw the field enough to keep Higbee off the fantasy radar for Week 3.
  • LA Tight End #84
Rams TE Colby Parkinson (shoulder) did not participate in Wednesday’s practice.
Parkinson suffered a sprained AC joint in the Rams’ Week 1 win against the Texans and starts out the week not practicing. Fellow tight end Davis Allen (knee) was limited on Wednesday. With both tight ends banged up, rookie second-rounder Terrance Ferguson may see an increase in opportunities.
  • LA Tight End #87
Davis Allen caught 1-of-2 targets for 13 yards and a touchdown in the Rams’ Week 1 win over the Texans.
His red zone play-action catch was the only receiving score for the Rams against a tough Texans defense. Tyler Higbee handily outsnapped Allen 35 to 22, but Higbee was held without a target. There’s probably not enough oxygen here for any non-Puka/Adams receiver to flourish in fantasy football.
  • LA Tight End #87
Davis Allen caught 1-of-2 targets for a 13-yard touchdown in the Rams’ Wildcard win over the Vikings.
Allen saw additional run in the offense after Tyler Higbee left after the team’s second possession. Higbee would be immediately deemed doubtful to return with a chest injury before being ruled out for the remainder of the game at halftime, something that could provide more run for both Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen in the Divisional Round against the Eagles.
  • LA Wide Receiver #10
Rams declared WR Cooper Kupp, QB Stetson Bennett, RB Cody Schrader, LB Brennan Jackson, T Geron Christian Sr. and TE Davis Allen inactive for Week 3 against the 49ers.
Kupp’s absence was expected, given his projected multi-week recovery timeline. The Athletic’s Jourdan Rodrigue notes “Jimmy [Garoppolo] back in the backup spot at QB after his two-game suspension.” The Rams are exceptionally short-staffed with Puka Nacua also on injured reserve. They will likely try to eke out a win through a run-heavy offensive attack.
