Utah State junior WR Derek Wright caught a 16-yard touchdown pass during Saturday’s 38-25 win over New Mexico.
Wright (6'1/185) had just one catch on the day, but he made the most of it by reaching the end zone late in the second quarter to give Utah State a 31-6 lead at the time. For the season the junior wide receiver has caught seven passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Wright will now look to use Utah State’s bowl game as a springboard into 2020, as the Aggies will need to account for the graduation of leading receiver Siaosi Mariner next season.
