Cleveland punter Derrick Frost will be healthy enough to play this week.
Forgetting about his 8 yard shank last week at Baltimore may be a more difficult task.
  • The Redskins will bring in competition for punter Derrick Frost.
The team’s new starter had a 23-yard punt on Saturday in Washington’s blowout loss to the Redskins.
  • Browns released P Derrick Frost, OL Javiar Collins, QB Lang Campbell, DL Corey Jackson, S James King, WR Lance Moore, OL Clint Stickdorn, TE Keith Willis and K Tyler Jones.
Veteran Kyle Richardson has won Clevelan’d punting job.
  • The Browns have re-signed P Derrick Frost. He will compete with Kyle Richardson for punting duties.
A punter competition. Woohoo. One thing is for sure. Frost had better improve on his net average of 35.4 yards per punt or Romeo is gonna punt Frost and odds are Frost goes farther than 35.4 yards.
  • Redskins waived P Derrick Frost and OT Todd Wade, according to NFL Network’s Adam Schefter.
Wade was Washington’s most experienced backup tackle and also plays guard, but he’s too injury prone. Durant Brooks is locked in as the team’s punter.
  • Packers signed P Derrick Frost, formerly of the Redskins.
It’s unclear what this means for Jon Ryan’s future, but the guess here is he’ll be cut. Frost, 27, averaged only 36.4 net yards per punt to Ryan’s 37.6 last year, so it isn’t an obvious upgrade. Ryan’s overall average was also better.
  • Redskins re-signed P Derrick Frost.
The old Joe Gibbs coaching staff wasn’t a big fan of Frost’s work, but never did bring in serious competition. Todd Sauerbrun is still available.
  • Packers waived P Derrick Frost.
Frost’s net average (36.1) ranked 26th in the NFL through a dozen games and he put only eight punts inside the 20 all year.
  • Washington reportedly brought in 44-year-old P Sean Landeta for a workout to “challenge” P Derrick Frost.
The Redskins have already replaced injured K John Hall with K Nick Novak, but signing Landeta appears unlikely.
