    Falcons waived G Toniu Fonoti.
Fonoti had reportedly looked good in offseason conditioning workouts, and it was thought that he might finally capitalize on his enormous potential. Guess not. The team also waived C Doug Datish and signed C Ben Wilkerson and DB Tony Franklin.
  • TEN Center
Falcons placed C Doug Datish on injured reserve, ending his season.
Datish broke his wrist on Thursday and will have surgery on Monday. OL Ben Wilkerson was signed to replace him on the roster. Datish signed for four years and will be back in 2008 to compete for a roster spot.
  • TEN Center
Falcons C Doug Datish will have surgery on his right wrist Monday after X-rays revealed he suffered a fracture during Thursday’s practice.
The team gave no timetable for its sixth-round pick to return. Datish was running as the third-team center behind Todd McClure and P.J. Alexander.
  • TEN Center
Falcons signed sixth-round C Doug Datish to a four-year contract.
Datish played all five offensive line positions at Ohio State, so he’s versatile. He should backup Todd McClure in Atlanta.
  • TEN Center
    Titans waived C Doug Datish.
A sixth-round pick in 2007, Datish offers versatility but little else.
  • TEN Center
Falcons signed C Doug Datish and waived K Kevin Lovell.
The Chiefs should take a hard look at Lovell, who kicked well in Rams camp last year and would be nice competition for Connor Barth and Nick Novak.
  • TEN Center
Colts claimed C Doug Datish off waivers from the Falcons.
A sixth-round pick out of Ohio State in 2007, Datish didn’t fit Atlanta’s power run scheme. Indy has stockpiled centers behind Jeff Saturday this offseason.
  • TEN Center
    Falcons waived C Doug Datish.
A sixth-round pick in 2007, Datish spent his rookie year on injured reserve with a broken wrist. He’s versatile, healthy now, and figures to be claimed.
  • Falcons released G Kynan Forney, OL D’Anthony Batiste, C Doug Datish, DE Brandon Miller, and DT Montavious Stanley.
With Stanley gone, Grady Jackson is sure to start next to Jonathan Babineaux at defensive tackle. Forney couldn’t beat out Harvey Dahl.
  • TEN Wide Receiver
Titans signed WR Craphonso Thorpe, OL Fernando Velasco, OL Jason Murphy, OL Doug Datish, OL Peter Clifford, DE Charles Bennett, TE Matthew Mulligan, CB Christian Morton, DE Derrick Jones, and CB Tanard Davis to reserve/futures contracts.
This is Thorpe’s seventh team in the past three seasons, and he’s likely no more than a camp body.
