Buccaneers selected Northwestern TE Drake Dunsmore with the No. 233 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft.
A three-year starter, Dunsmore garnered All-Big Ten honors after posting a 45/522/6 line as a senior. Although he’s undersized at 6'2" and 241 pounds, Dunsmore is a solid route runner who separates from defenders. A marginal blocker with little downfield ability, he profiles as more of an H-back for the Bucs.

Buccaneers signed seventh-round TE Drake Dunsmore to a four-year contract.
We thought the Bucs might take tight end more seriously entering the draft, but Dunsmore was the only one they picked. A 6-foot-2, 241-pound H-back type, Dunsmore is short on speed (4.67-4.75) and playmaking ability. He’s not going to be a blocking asset in the pros, and will have to make his mark as a special teamer and passing-down specialist to carve out a career.

Bucs TE Drake Dunsmore has retired from football.
Dunsmore, a seventh-round pick out of Northwestern last year, didn’t appear in a game. He wasn’t a strong blocker, and he didn’t possess much speed. Dunsmore must not be interested in being a career special teamer.
