Drew Henson was the No. 2 QB in Dallas today.
He made his NFL debut by holding kicks. Don’t expect to see Henson at QB while Dallas is in the playoff hunt.

The Drew Henson talk is picking up in Dallas.
We wouldn’t expect a switch to Drew Henson at QB until the Cowboys are officially out of it. If things keep up, that might be in a few weeks.
  • DET Quarterback
Despite his demotion to third string, it’s still possible that Drew Henson will see action this season.
Jerry Jones said Friday “there is a real chance” Henson could play in one or both of the Cowboys’ final two games.
  • DET Quarterback
Drew Henson took all the snaps in Cowboys practice Thursday.
Vinny Testaverde was held out because he is suffering from flu-like symptoms. We guess Henson won’t start until the Cowboys game after Thanksgiving.

It’s Bill Parcells’ “best guess” that Drew Henson or Tony Romo will be their starting quarterback next season.
Interesting. Vinny could be retiring, and perhaps Dallas won’t go nuts to bring in a veteran. This is about as positive Parcells has sounded about Henson or Romo.
  • DET Quarterback
Bill Parcells won’t send Drew Henson or Tony Romo to NFL Europe.
Both players will presumably compete for the starting QB job next season with Vinny Testaverde, who is expected to return.
  • DET Quarterback
Drew Henson will enter the Cowboys preseason opener second, after Vinny Testaverde.
It looks like Henson has already passed Tony Romo on the depth chart. Dallas must be comfortable with the rookie as their backup.

Although they will send a scout to watch him work out, the Steelers have no serious interest in trading for Drew Henson, sources tell the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
One Steelers front-office executive cited several reasons for their lack of interest: He has not played football since 2000, the Texans want a high draft choice for him and Henson would want too much money.

The Dolphins will bring Drew Henson in for a private meeting soon.
They appear to be one of the most interested teams and were impressed by Thursday’s workouts.

A trade involving quarterback Drew Henson could come no earlier than March 4th and no later than April 23- the day before the NFL draft.
Henson and the Texans will hold on open workout on Feb. 12th to showcase Henson before working on trade proposals. The Texans should be able to obtain a first round draft pick for him.
