Miller was active for Sunday’s loss to the Eagles, but has been cut loose with the Rams looking to sign a cornerback with Ronald Bartell ticketed for injured reserve. In the league since 2008, Sunday was the first time Miller had ever been active on game day.

Miller didn’t see action for the Jags last season.

The 24-year-old will clear waivers and go on injured reserve.

All of the above will be hard pressed to make even the lowly Rams in 2010.

Kenneth Darby and undrafted rookie Keith Toston emerged as stronger runners than Ogbonnaya during preseason action. The Rams may still plan on scanning the wire for an upgrade behind Steven Jackson. Bulter was replaced by Kevin Dockery as the nickel back.
