    DE Fred Wakefield will miss six-to-eight weeks with a stress fracture.
    Tests conducted Tuesday did not reveal a stress fracture, but Wakefield underwent further examination Wednesday morning. Results of that examination revealed a stress fracture and he will be out six to eight weeks.
  • Fred Wakefield, out for the year with a foot injury, will begin converting to offensive tackle this season.
