Raiders are interviewing Seahawks WR coach Frisman Jackson for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
It sounds like the interview is happening today, though NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero did not specify when he broke the news. Jackson has coached wide receivers with six college teams and four NFL teams since entering the coaching ranks in 2008 after a short playing career with the Browns (2002-2006). He spent one season on the Jets’ practice squad. Jackson has served in his current role with the Seahawks since 2024, signing on in Seattle one year before former Seahawks OC and new Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak arrived. He evidently made a good impression if Kubiak is already considering him for the Raiders’ offensive coordinator vacancy. Kubiak publicly confirmed that he accepted his new role on Monday.

The Browns promoted Frisman Jackson from the practice squad to the active roster Wednesday.
Jackson has no fantasy value as of right now.

The Browns believe wide receiver Frisman Jackson can take the place of Dennis Northcutt if Northcutt leaves town this offseason.
The Browns receivers aren’t likely to be better fantasy options with Terry Robiskie’s run-heavy offense taking over next season. Jackson missed most of last season with a broken foot.

Despite claims to the contrary last month, Frisman Jackson doesn’t appear to be a serious contender for the Cleveland starting wideout role.
He’s listed as a third-stringer, behind Josh Cribbs, on the team’s first released depth chart. Dennis Northcutt should open the season as a starter until Braylon Edwards is healthy.

Browns released wide receivers Frisman Jackson and C.J. Jones, running back Nick Maddox, fullback Corey McIntyre, tight ends tight ends Chad Mustard and Darnell Sanders, defensive ends Mark Word, Felipe Claybrooks and Cedric Scott, defensive tackle John Nix, linebackers Sherrod Coates, Uyi Osunde and Mason Unck, cornerbacks Tim Wansley and Roosevelt Williams, safety Ricky Sharpe, offensive lineman Lewis Dawson, Chuck Klabo, and Craig Osika, and kicker Derek Schorejs.
The Browns decided to keep four running backs, fueling speculation that James Jackson could be traded. The Browns only have to two healthy tight ends, Kellen Winslow and Aaron Shea.

Frisman Jackson caught eight passes for 128 yards and a touchdown in week one.
Bad news for Braylon Edwards owners. Jackson looks like the team’s third wideout for now, but this looks like the classic week one fluke game that forces a lot of crazy waiver claims in fantasy football. Don’t be that guy.

Frisman Jackson caught one pass for 11 yards in week two.
That’s more befitting for the fourth receiver in Cleveland. Despite the big week one, there’s no reason to own Jackson in any league format. With Braylon Edwards improving, Jackson won’t get may snaps.

After being moved up from the No. 4 receiver to the No. 3 receiver, Jackson was shut out against the Bears last week.
Jackson even had a couple important drops in the contest. He has just three receptions in his past three games.
