Central Florida senior RB Isaiah Bowser rushed 35 times for 155 yards and two touchdowns in Thursday’s 29-17 win over Florida.
Bowser (6'1"/225) had been dealing with a leg injury for the last several weeks, and had not played since UCF’s Week 10 against Tulane as a result. Fortunately for UCF, Bowser was able to heal up enough to play in this one, as he put the Knights on his back while rushing for 155 yards and two touchdowns, which included scores from three and four yards out in the second and third quarters. Bowser’s long run of the day came on a 36-yard rush to open the third quarter on a drive that ultimately ended in a missed field goal, but Bowser’s hard running was felt throughout this one as he smashed through one Florida defender after another to keep the chains moving for UCF on their way to a victory. Bowser finishes his season with 159 carries for 703 yards and nine touchdowns.

UCF senior RB Isaiah Bowser (leg) is expected to play in Saturday’s game against UConn.
For the second straight week, Bowser (6'1/225) was dressed out for pregame warmups. However, he was able to do everything on Saturday that the other running back were able to. By comparison, Bowser was limited in warmups ahead of last week’s game against SMU, and he ultimately did not play.

Central Florida senior RB Isaiah Bowser (leg) is warming up ahead of Saturday’s game against SMU but appears limited.
Bowser is in uniform and taking part in some pregame drills on the field with his teammates. But he hasn’t been involved with all of the RB drills, and he appears limited in movement. If Bowser plays today, he won’t be 100%. Johnny Richardson will get more touches today.

Central Florida senior RB Isaiah Bowser (leg) left at halftime in UCF’s 14-10 win over Tulane.
Bowser (6'1/225) has battled injuries all season, having only appeared in seven of UCF’s nine games this season. He had been nursing a knee injury in early October, but said he would be back, and had actually played in UCF’s last four games. Now with another flare up, we will wait to get better clarification on Bowser’s status later this week, as he and the Knights prepare to face SMU on the road this coming Saturday.

Central Florida senior RB Isaiah Bowser rushed 26 times for 111 yards and no touchdowns in Friday’s 24-7 win over Memphis.
Bowser (6'1/225) saw a nice workload in his second game back from a knee injury suffered earlier this season. It was just the second time all year in which Bowser had surpassed the century mark, as he remained consistent on the ground throughout, with a long rush on the day of 16 yards. Bowser also added two receptions for 10 yards in this one, as he and the Knights now sit at 4-3 on the season. UCF will travel to Temple for a Week 9 matchup with the Owls.

  • Running Back #31
University of Central Florida senior RB Isaiah Bowser (knee) has indicated he will play again this season.
Bowser (6'1/225) appeared on the latest episode of ESPN’s “Our Time” and said that he intends to take again the field this season. “I know it’s not like a season-ending injury so I’m thankful for that. I’m grateful that I’ll have the chance to come out there in a couple of weeks...”. It sounds very optimistic we could him back on the field at some point, but the timetable is something that will need to be monitored. The Northwestern transfer was the feature back for the Golden Knights, including 157 rushing yards on 33 carries in the Week 1 win over Boise State. UCF will host East Carolina this Saturday.

UCF RB Isaiah Bowser and WR Jaylon Robinson (undisclosed) were not on the field for warmups ahead of Saturday’s game at Navy.
UCF will apparently be down two offensive contributors Saturday afternoon, as neither Bowser (6'1/225) nor Robinson has been on the field for pregame warmups. A grad transfer who began his college career at Northwestern, Bowser has rushed for 268 yards and five touchdowns with an average of 5.3 yards per carry. As for Robinson, he has caught 12 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns this season.

Isaiah Bowser rushed for only 59 yards on 12 carries against Bethune-Cookman, but managed to find the end zone four times.
Graduate transfer Isaiah Bowser (6'1/225) didn’t have the biggest day on the ground for the Knights, but salvaged his day with four scores. It marks the second big game for Bowser on the season, who now has 45 carries on the season for 231 yards and five touchdowns. He will face off against the Louisville Cardinals next week.

UCF junior RB Isaiah Bowser rushed 32 times for 170 yards and a touchdown in a 36-31 victory over Boise State on Thursday.
Bowser (6'1"/225) battled Mark Antony-Richards and R.J. Harvey for the RB1 spot throughout camp, winning the job after Harvey tore his ACL in camp. Though UCF had previously been a notorious running-back-by-committee over the past decade, new HC Gus Mazahn heaped a heavy snap load on the Northwestern transfer, as he handled 32 of the team’s 36 running back carries in the game. Though Bowser didn’t have the greatest 2020 season, as he averaged just 2.9 yards per carry, he looked the part of an every-down bell cow against a respectable Boise State defense. Bowser has taken hold of the running back room and will lead the Knights’ rushing attack next Saturday against Bethune-Cookman.

  • Running Back #31
UCF junior RB Isaiah Bowser is listed as the team’s starting quarterback ahead of Thursday’s game against Boise State.
Bowser (6'1/225) was originally headed to Miami (OH) as a grad transfer after leaving the Northwestern program at the end of last season. But he had a change of heart and ultimately landed at UCF, where he’s now the team’s starting running back. Bowser didn’t have the greatest 2020 season, as he averaged just 2.9 yards per carry, so he’ll look to turn things around in Orlando. Sophomore Johnny Richardson and Mark-Antony Richards are listed as Bowser’s backups.
