Bengals signed WR Mitchell Tinsley to a one-year extension.
He was an exclusive rights free agent. Tinsley pushed former third-rounder Jermaine Burton out of Joe Burrow’s circle of trust in the preseason and managed an 8/116/2 seasonal receiving line, with 15 of those targets coming against the Ravens and Patriots as Tee Higgins was out. Tinsley isn’t exactly a fantasy football sleeper, but Burrow’s rapport with him does make him interesting as a contingency plan. The Bengals also signed these 18 other players to ERFA one-year deals or futures contracts: LB Liam Anderson, C Jacob Bayer, HB Gary Brightwell, QB Sean Clifford, OT Andrew Coker, DT Howard Cross, OT Javon Foster, WR Xavier Johnson, CB Jalen Kimber, CB Bralyn Lux, WR Jordan Moore, LB Antwaun Powell-Ryland, S Russ Yeast, DE Isaiah Foskey, LB Joe Giles-Harris, LB Shaka Heyward, TE Cam Grandy, and S PJ Jules.
  • FA Wide Receiver #16
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports the Eagles are hosting free agent WR Quez Watkins for a workout on Monday.
Watkins was a sixth-round pick of the Eagles back in 2020 and caught 98 passes for 1,249 yards and six touchdowns during his four-year tenure with the team. He hasn’t played a regular season snap since 2023 and has also bounced around between the Steelers and Cardinals over the last two years. If signed, Watkins wouldn’t be any more than added depth to a receiver room that is currently five players deep. In addition to Watkins, the Eagles also hosted WR K.J. Osborn and DE Isaiah Foskey for workouts.
  • FA Defensive End #55
    Saints released DE Isaiah Foskey.
Foskey was selected at No. 40 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft after setting the all-time record for sacks at Notre Dame. He appeared in 27 games but did not make any starts for the Saints.
  • NO Defensive Back #23
Saints CB Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) is questionable for Week 2 against the Cowboys.
Lattimore didn’t practice at all this week, making him unlikely to take the field on Sunday. This is the latest in a long line of injuries for the veteran corner. Lattimore hasn’t played a full season since 2021, missing 17 games over the past two years. Tyrann Mathieu was cleared from the injury report while defensive linemen Bryan Bresee (illness) and Isaiah Foskey (back) were listed as questionable.
  • CIN Defensive End #51
Saints selected Notre Dame EDGE Isaiah Foskey with the No. 40 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
The Saints add yet another pick to their defensive line. Notre Dame’s all-time sack leader, Foskey (6’5/264) paced the nation with six forced fumbles while tallying 12.5 TFL and 11.0 sacks en route to a Second Team All-American nod. A fully formed 4-3 base DE, Foskey wins with superior hand placement which helps him to gain leverage and keep tackles at bay with a stifling long-arm move. He gets off the ball in a flash, a fact that was solidified by his 4.58s 40 time (97th%) and sterling 95.9 RAS. The Irish edge setter brandishes the requisite flexibility and speed to run the arc, but can also get right up in an opposing tackle’s kitchen thanks to his long frame and a spirited bull rush. Ramps down very efficiently and works hard to disengage and earn secondary sack opportunities. Like most rangy, young edges who need time to grow into their frames, Foskey can play with a high pad level at times which exposes his chest and stalls out power rushes. The Irish sack artist has a ceiling on par with NC State edge rusher Bradley Chubb.
