J.J. Arrington was knocked out of Saturday’s game after he got the air knocked out of him.
He fumbled on the play, a seven-yard run. It’s not serious, but Arrington needs to prove he can take the pounding of a starting running back.
  • PHI Running Back
Cardinals RB J.J. Arrington rushed ten times for 44 yards on Friday.
The 2005 second-round pick added two catches and a nice 12-yard run. It was literally one of his best games in a Cardinal uniform. We still don’t recommend trying to handcuff Edgerrin James.
  • PHI Running Back
RB J.J. Arrington rushed twice for 11 yards and also returned five kicks for 124 yards in Week 1 against the 49ers.
It was Arrington, and not RB Marcel Shipp, who backed up RB Edgerrin James. Shipp didn’t carry the ball all day, while Arrington had a nice nine-yard run in the second half. He’s still a non-factor in every league, but at least his keeper-league stock is back off life support.
  • PHI Running Back
J.J. Arrington rushed five times for seven yards Friday.
Marcel Shipp outplayed him again! Arrington averaged less than 2.5 yards-per-carry in a somewhat troubling preseason. We’re not pushing the panic button, but Dennis Green might if this continues.
  • PHI Running Back
J.J. Arrington rushed eight times for five yards and caught four passes for 22 yards in week one.
Sometimes, the preseason tells us something. Arrington continued his habit of dancing behind the line of scrimmage. He ran tentatively and gave way to Marcel Shipp early in the game and in the red zone. His fantasy owners should be concerned.

FoxSports.com is reporting J.J. Arrington will be inactive for week two with a stomach illness.
When was the last time an NFL player missed a start because he was sick? We wonder if there is something more going on behind the scenese here. Get him out of your lineup. Marcel Shipp will start and becomes a decent play versus the Rams.
  • PHI Running Back
FoxSports.com reports J.J. Arrington could miss today’s game with an illness.
Since it’s a 4PM game, his owners have to take this report seriously, even if Arrington will likely suit up. It’s very rare to see an NFL player miss a game because he’s sick, but Arrington has enough downside to sit him regardless.
  • PHI Running Back
RB J.J. Arrington worked out with both for the first- and second-team offenses during yesterday’s practice.
The Arizona Republic reports that RB Marcel Shipp will likely be the starter Sunday, but it sounds like Arrington will be in line for significant carries as well.
  • PHI Running Back
J.J. Arrington rushed five times for nine yards in week three.
Arrington has less rushing yards after three weeks than Kurt Warner, who has a groin injury. That’s a bad indicator moving forward.

Coach Dennis Green said Arrington is expected to play Sunday against the Rams.
