Chiefs seventh-round pick Jarrad Page was selected in the seventh round of the MLB Draft Wednesday.
He was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels as an outfielder. Page, who has been working out with the Chiefs in minicamp, is considered a much better baseball prospect.
  • MIN Defensive Back
Jarrad Page has won the Eagles’ starting strong safety job.
It was never much of a competition, as Nate Allen has been battling tendinitis in his knee. Page started 37 games in Kansas City from 2007-09 and has IDP appeal with a decent shot at 80-90 tackles. Kurt Coleman is expected to start on the other side, but he’s looking over his shoulder at rookie Jaiquawn Jarrett.
  • MIN Defensive Back
Free agent S Jarrad Page attended a recent open tryout for Major League Baseball’s Los Angeles Dodgers.
Page, who chose football over baseball coming out of UCLA in 2006, has been drafted by MLB three times. He was more of a high school phenom, hitting just .233 with three home runs and 19 RBI in his lone baseball season for the Bruins. Page may have been trying out for the Dodgers for fun, but NFL teams may frown upon the idea, questioning his commitment to the pigskin sport.
  • MIN Defensive Back
Free agent S Jarrad Page has reportedly given up football and signed a minor-league contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
A seventh-round pick in 2006, Page has made 45 career starts, but played just 20 defensive snaps in 11 games between the Vikings and Eagles last season. A three-time MLB draft pick, Page was last taken by the Angels in the seventh round in 2006. Although he was a high school star, Page struggled in his lone baseball season at UCLA. With zero professional at-bats under his belt at the age of 27, he is an extreme long-shot to ever crack a major-league roster. He’s almost certainly played his final NFL down.
  • MIN Defensive Back
    Eagles waived S Jarrad Page.
With Nate Allen (concussion) healthy, there’s no room for Page. He had fallen behind Kurt Coleman and Jaiquawn Jarrett on the depth chart. Page could find a home back in New England’s injury-ravaged secondary.
  • MIN Defensive Back
Vikings signed S Jarrad Page, formerly of the Eagles.
Page will bring much-needed experience to the Vikings secondary with Husain Abdullah and Tyrell Johnson done for the season. He should be in football shape, as he was just waived by the Eagles two weeks ago.
  • FA Defensive Back
The Eagles have benched FS Jarrad Page in favor of Kurt Coleman.
Page was lit up in the first five games and is coming off a stinger. Coleman began the year as a starter before being benched for Nate Allen. He’s probably not going to be much of an upgrade in terms of coverage or run defense.
  • MIN Defensive Back
Eagles SS Jarrad Page has been deactivated for Sunday’s game against the Redskins.
The Eagles’ continue to play musical chairs all over the field. After a poor showing last week, Page is inactive in favor of Kurt Coleman, who draws the start at strong safety. Defensive coordinator Juan Castillo is grasping at straws ahead of this must-win game.
  • NE Coaching Staff
Chiefs OLB Mike Vrabel did show for the start of Kansas City Organized Team Activities on Monday.
Unsigned restricted free agent Jarrad Page was the only Chief not on the practice field, so the team looks to be buying into coach Todd Haley’s spring focus. Vrabel is battling Andy Studebaker and Cam Sheffield for snaps.
