Ole Miss sophomore RB Jerrion Ealy rolled up 152 rushing yards on 24 attempts in Saturday’s 29-19 win against Texas A&M.
Ealy (5'8/190) was impressive, going for 6.3 yards per attempt, while leading a Mississippi rush attack which was good for 257 yards on the ground with a touchdown and 4.6 yards per attempt. He has consecutive 100-yard games for the first time since Oct. 10-17, 2020 when he hit the century mark in back-to-back games against Alabama and Arkansas. He’ll look to make it three in a row when Vanderbilt comes calling next Saturday.

Ole Miss sophomore RB Jerrion Easly rushed 10 times for 115 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-14 win over Libery on Saturday.
Ealy (5'8/190) received 10 of the backfield’s 10 carries, but what he lacked in volume, the sensational sophomore made up for in explosiveness, averaging 11.5 yards per carry on the day. His biggest play came on a perfectly blocked inside handoff where he shot through the B-gap and turned on the jets to beat the Liberty secondary to the left pylon for a 70-yard touchdown run. He was also effective in the passing game, catching four passes for 24 yards as the underrated Ole Miss run game was simply too much for Liberty to handle. It was a very encouraging performance after Ealy rushed just three times in Ole Miss’ last game against Auburn before giving way to Henry Parrish Jr. He will try to post his third 100-yard performance this season next Saturday against Texas A&M.

Ole Miss redshirt sophomore RB Jerrion Ealy rushed seven times for 19 yards in Saturday’s 31-26 win over Tennessee.
Ealy (5'8/190) had missed the previous game against Arkansas due to a concussion, but returned for the road matchup against Tennessee. Unfortunately for Ealy, he saw a minimum work load against the Vols, as he was third in the running back pecking order in carries, and only managed two receptions on the day for 11 yards. On the year, Ealy has 47 carries for 225 yards and one touchdown, while adding 10 receptions for 90 yards. He and the Rebels will host LSU (4-3) in Week 8.

Ole Miss redshirt sophomore RB Jerrion Ealy (concussion) is not warming up in advance of Saturday’s game against Arkansas.
Ealy spent the week in concussion protocol after suffering a head injury last week against Alabama. He apparently wasn’t able to make sufficient enough strides to give it a go today. Ole Miss is also without WR2 Jonathan Mingo, so Matt Corral is going to be a little light on helpers today as he tries to avenge last year’s nightmare, interception-laden performance against Arkansas (what has Arky DC Barry Odom cooked up for the rematch?). Henry Parrish will start for Ealy.

Ole Miss sophomore RB Jerrion Ealy is in concussion protocol and is thought to be questionable for Saturday’s game against Arkansas.
Ealy (5'8/190) had 16 yards on nine carries last week against Alabama before leaving the game with a concussion. The fact it’s being said he is “thought to be questionable” means the Rebels are tight-lipped about their running back’s status. If Ealy is unable to play Saturday, Ole Miss could be without three starters on the offense. Left guard Caleb Warren (ankle) and wide receiver Jonathan Mingo (foot) are also expected to miss this Saturday’s home matchup against Arkansas.

Tallying just 15 carries, Ole Miss sophomore RB Jerrion Ealy racked up 105 yards in a dominating win over Tulane.
Ealy (5'8/190) was a spark plug today for the Rebels. He ate up chunks of yards all evening with a 7.0 YPC average. The trio of Ealy, Henry Parrish, and Snoop Connor is a lethal one for Ole Miss. They will need all 3 of them to thrive next week as the Rebels take on top rated Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Ole Miss sophomore RB Jerrion Ealy has been taking some practice reps at slot receiver.
While Ealy (5'8/190) hasn’t been moved to wide receiver full-time like former QB John Rhys Plumlee, he has been seeing some time in the slot as the Rebels look to account for the departure of All-American Elijah Moore. The sophomore running back has gotten the opportunity to work at wide receiver during one-on-one periods, but is back at running back for team sessions. “If I’m out in the slot, that gives another back an opportunity to be in the backfield,” Ealy said. “If we have two backs on the field, that’s a dangerous game. That’s a real dangerous game.” Ole Miss has some depth at running back, with Henry Parrish and Snoop Connor also returning, which affords HC Lane Kiffin to have Ealy take some reps in the slot.

Ole Miss sophomore RB Jerrion Ealy (shoulder) is back working out with the team following offseason shoulder surgery.
Ealy (5'8/190) did not take part is spring practice since he was recovering from the ailment, but is back working out and appears to be ready to go. He has posted back-to-back seasons of over 700 yards, averaging 5.9 YPC and racking up 15 rushing touchdowns thus far in his Ole Miss career. The versatile playmaker thrived in new HC Lane Kiffin’s offense, increasing his PFF run grade from 74.9 in 2019 to 90.0 last year, which is the fifth highest mark of any returning FBS running back. He is also an asset in the passing game, catching 36-of-42 passes for 327 yards in two seasons. Ealy is primed to take a step as an all-purpose weapon in 2021.

Athlon Sports named Ole Miss junior RB Jerrion Ealy as a first-team preseason All-SEC honoree.

Mississippi sophomore RB Jerrion Ealy (undisclosed) will try to play in Saturday’s Outback Bowl against Indiana.
Ealy (5'8/180) missed the Rebels’ early practices for Saturday’s season finale, and he was limited a great deal towards the end of the week. Getting the sophomore running back onto the field would give Mississippi a welcome boost, as the team already lacks depth due to both injuries and COVID-19 concerns. However, it remains to be seen just how close to full strength Ealy currently is.
