    He never even got a signing bonus. A seventh-rounder from Louisiana Tech, Holland was a weird draft pick by the Raiders in the first place. He’ll get to practice with the scout team this year and battle for a job in 2008.

    The Raiders are keeping three reserve wideuts: Johnnie Lee Higgins, Todd Watkins, and Chaz Schilens. That’s an ugly group for JaMarcus Russell to throw to, meaning Javon Walker, Ronald Curry, and Zach Miller should see most of the targets.

    A season on injured reserve counts as an accrued year, so Holland isn’t a rookie. A previous report indicated he was still not medically cleared from a shoulder injury he suffered early last summer. He’ll be in for OTAs.
