The 29-year-old Berger has 20 career starts, mostly at guard and center. He’s a more experienced option than Cooper, but will ideally be a reserve only.

Just 25, Cooper has accepted a job on his alma mater Oklahoma’s coaching staff. Cooper played in 13 career games, all in Minnesota. He made one start.

Cooper is an undersized center-only who appeared in 12 games for Minnesota in 2010, making one start. He’ll be a long shot for a roster spot in Titans camp.

Cooper will take over as the backup center behind John Sullivan.

Chilly did add that Jon Cooper, who started the last two games, could play a series or two depending on Sullivan’s stamina. Sullivan isn’t much of an upgrade over his backup.

Sullivan has been dealing with calf issues all season. Jon Cooper is coming in.

Sullivan aggravated the injury on the Vikings’ first offensive series and sat out the remainder of the game. The initial injury cost him two games, but it remains to be seen if he’ll be able to play in Week 11. Jon Cooper will play if Sullivan isn’t ready and isn’t a noticeable downgrade.
