  • FA Defensive Lineman #99
Packers declared CB Shemar Jean-Charles, T Rasheed Walker, T Caleb Jones, WR Bo Melton, and DL Jonathan Ford inactive for Week 18 against the Lions.
No surprises here for the Packers. Josiah Deguara, the only Packers to come into the contest questionable, is active and will play. The Packers control their own destiny for the seventh and final playoff spot out of the NFC, simply needing a win against the Lions to get into the postseason.

  • FA Tackle #69
Packers declared LT David Bakhtiari (knee) inactive for Week 2 against the Bears.
Bakhtiari got in a limited session on Friday, but has had a hard time clearing the final hurdle of getting beyond the practiced field for the first two weeks of the season. The Packers will get one of their two star linemen back as RT Elgton Jenkins is active. Also inactive for the Packers are S Tariq Carpenter, OL Caleb Jones, OL Sean Rhyan, WR Samori Toure, and DL Jonathan Ford

  • FA Defensive Lineman #99
Packers selected Miami DT Jonathan Ford with the No. 234 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Ford (6’5/315) was a three-year starter for Miami but never appeared in more than nine games in any of his five seasons with the team. Far from a stat sheet stuffer, Ford’s most impressive line came in 2019 when he totaled 18 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, and three sacks. He has never had more than 19 tackles in a season and hasn’t recorded a sack since that 2019 season. An underwhelming athlete with a 3.59 relative athletic score, Ford has elite size reflective of a defensive tackle built to takeaway rushing lanes. Most of Ford’s game is built around him being an immovable object that is capable of pushing opposing blockers back. He doesn’t offer much with his hand fighting or counter moves, something he may need to develop at the next level. He will probably need to impress the Packers in camp to earn a roster spot.
