    Bears declared RB D’Andre Swift active for Week 16 against the Packers.

    Swift was questionable for Saturday’s Week 16 contest against the Packers, but as expected, the tailback will get the nod for the crucial divisional matchup. The Bears inactives for the contest will be WR Rome Odunze WR Luther Burden, LB Amen Ogbongbemiga, LB Ruben Hyppolite, QB Case Keenum and DL Jonathan Ford.

    Miami senior DL Jonathan Ford has opted out of the team’s appearance in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl in preparation for the 2022 NFL Draft.

    Ford (6'5/315) started in eight games for the Hurricanes in 2021, and totaled 13 tackles and five quarterback pressures. His best season came in 2019, when he appeared on 469 snaps per Pro Football Focus, totaling 11 tackles, including 15 quarterback pressures and four sacks. He has not recorded a sack since that 2019 season.

    Miami freshman DT Jonathan Ford has arrived in camp.

    Ford (6'5/275) had some academic concerns to shore up before he was allowed to enroll. He ended up missing 13 practices. With the three-star recruit now in camp, the Hurricanes have their complete freshman class at their disposal.
