Jets downgraded WR Josh Reynolds (hip) to out for Week 8 against the Bengals.
The Jets will now be without their top two receivers, in addition to quarterback Tyrod Taylor, for their game against the Bengals. Rookie tight end Mason Taylor is also listd as questionable but is expected to play, potentially serving as the top pass-catcher for Justin Fields in a plus matchup for tight ends.

Jets WR Josh Reynolds (hip) is questionable for New York’s Week 8 game against the Bengals.
He did not practice on Friday with the hip injury, which is a concerningly quick downgrade. We’re not entirely sure who else to recommend in New York’s pass-catcher room if Reynolds is down — Arian Smith played 91.8 percent of the snaps last week but turned them into just a three-target sacrificial X showing. Tyler Johnson led the team in receiving yardage and might be the play, but only played 25 percent of the snaps in Week 7.

Garrett Wilson (knee) was not seen at Thursday’s practice.
Wilson was held out of Wednesday’s practice and looks like a DNP again today. He is a long-shot to suit up on Sunday. With a Week 9 bye up next, Wilson should be back on the field in Week 10 versus the Browns. Until then, Tyler Johnson and Josh Reynolds will operate as the team’s top wideouts. Neither player is awfully appealing for fantasy purposes.

Garrett Wilson (knee) was not seen at Wednesday’s practice.
Wilson could return for a limited session later today, but all signs point to a DNP for the young wideout. With a Week 9 bye on the horizon, the winless Jets shouldn’t be in a hurry to rush Wilson back to the lineup. Fantasy managers should move forward under the assumption Wilson is out for Week 8. Josh Reynolds, Tyler Johnson, and Mason Taylor each caught three passes last week. Reynolds gets a slight edge over Johnson in the fantasy ranks with Wilson out, but Taylor’s tight end eligibility makes him the best start of the trio.

Josh Reynolds caught 3-of-9 targets for 29 yards in the Jets’ Week 7 loss against the Panthers.
With Garrett Wilson (knee) sidelined, Reynolds functioned as the team’s WR1. No other Jets pass catcher saw more than five targets on the day. Reynolds appeared to be a favorite of Tyrod Taylor, who came in for Justin Fields after Fields was benched in the second half. Reynolds would be an interesting deep league option next week against a miserable Bengals defense if Taylor is under center for the Jets.

Jets WR Josh Reynolds (hip) is not on New York’s final Week 7 injury report.
With Garrett Wilson officially doubtful, Reynolds has a chance to step in as the Jets No. 1 receiver. We’re sure there’s a league deep enough for that to matter, but we can’t endorse Reynolds as a what-the-heck FLEX in most standard-sized leagues.

Josh Reynolds (hip) was limited in Thursday’s practice.
It’s an upgrade from a DNP on Wednesday. Reynolds is looking like the Jets No. 1 receiver by default against the Panthers. Were it for not for the overall instability of the Jets passing attack, Reynolds would look like a lot more interesting of a play. Carolina has been something of a pass funnel of late. Still, it’s possible that there’s desperation FLEX value to be mined here.

Josh Reynolds (hip) did not practice Wednesday.
Reynolds was set to operate as the team’s WR1 over the next couple weeks with Garrett Wilson (knee) sidelined. The hip injury might throw a wrench in those plans. If he’s unable to practice later in the week, the Jets could enter Week 7 with Arian Smith as their top wideout.

Josh Reynolds caught all three of his targets for 25 yards in the Jets’ Week 6 loss to the Broncos.
Reynolds operated as the Jets’ No. 2 receiver once again, though that role typically has very little fantasy value. It was enough to get him to a 17 percent target share today. That made little difference for his box score. Reynolds has three catches in back-to-back games. He is still looking for his first 30-yard game of the year. There simply isn’t enough meat on the bone in this passing game to support a No. 2 receiver. He is nothing more than a WR6 heading into Week 7.

Josh Reynolds (hamstring) practiced in full on Friday.
Signs are encouraging for Reynolds to return. You’re not using him in fantasy football either way, but perhaps his blocking will help spring a few big runs for the Jets against the Dolphins on Monday night.
