49ers LB Dee Winters (knee) is questionable for Week 10 against the Rams.
The 49ers also listed LB Tatum Bethune (thigh), DL Alfred Collins (hip), DL Kalia Davis (ankle) and DL Keion White (groin) as questionable and are expected to place DL Mykel Williams (knee) on injured reserve. Williams’ expected injured reserve placement, after suffering a torn ACL, will make him the fourth San Francisco pass rusher to be moved there this season. Williams’ 19 quarterback pressures rank second on the team. 49ers LB Fred Warner was placed on injured reserve after suffering a season-ending dislocated ankle injury in Week 6, yet Warner still accounts for the team’s second-highest tackle total (39). Winters leads the way with 53. Rams QB Matthew Stafford should have comfortable pockets this weekend, and RB Kyren Williams could have fairly easy sledding on runs up the middle, 49ers’ questionable statuses pending.
  • 49ers acquired EDGE Keion White and a 2026 seventh-round pick from the Patriots in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick.
White was inactive in Week 8 as the Patriots found a suitor for the former second-round pick. He tallied five sacks last season but fell out of favor on the defensive line this season. The 49ers had been looking for pass rush help with Nick Bosa (ACL) out for the season and now add White for the price of a late-round pick swap. White ranks last in PFF pass rush grade this season but will get a fresh start to make an impact in San Francisco.
  • NE Safety #23
Patriots declared DE Keion White, S Kyle Dugger, LB Caleb Murphy, DT Eric Gregory, OL Caedan Wallace, WR Efton Chism, and QB Tommy DeVito inactive for Week 8 against the Browns.
Dugger is set to miss Week 8 with a knee issue that kept him limited in practice and landed him with a questionable tag heading into Sunday. Meanwhile, White is a surprise healthy scratch. Both White and Dugger could be on the trade block ahead of the November 4th trade deadline, but for now the Pats make both inactive against the Browns.
  • NE Wide Receiver #86
Patriots declared WR Efton Chism, CB Christian Gonzalez, DT Eric Gregory, EDGE Keion White, OG Caedan Wallace, QB Tommy DeVito inactive for Week 2 against the Dolphins.
Chism was dealing with a knee injury and was ruled out for Week 1 with what was technically a healthy scratch. Though he was not listed on the injury report for Week 2, he is again a healthy scratch against the Dolphins. Gonzalez (hamstring) was ruled out earlier this week while White (illness) did not practice this week. Their absences will create a softer Pats defense for a Dolphins offense that struggled last week.
  • Patriots selected Georgia Tech EDGE Keion White with the No. 46 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
A five-year collegiate player who played tight end as a freshman for Old Dominion, White (6’5/285) transitioned to D as a sophomore and thrived. He recorded a 31.3% pass rush win rate with a superb 90.4 PFF pass rush grade in 2019, both top-15 marks nationally, before jumping over to Georgia Tech to compete in the P5. Though White only logged 72 reps for the previous two years, he returned to top form with 54 tackles, 14 TFL, and 7.5 sacks (5th in ACC). His basketball background shows up in his agility and balance, as White has an unnatural fluidity for a 285-pounder. In addition to his super-heavyweight Edge measurements, the former two-star recruit has premium flexibility for a man his size, explodes into contact and works like a berserker to get off blocks. He backed up the tape by dropping a 98th percentile 4.79s 40-yard dash and a scorching 9.92 RAS that left the Yellowjackets’ defensive leader with few peers in terms of raw, untapped potential.
